The experience of staying at The Ritz-Carlton, Chengdu was so good!! Robert Li at the front desk not only upgraded the room type for us, learned that we were coming to Chengdu for the anniversary, intimately introduced the hotel's flair bar, and reserved a place for us, and was particularly surprised that he also prepared roses for me! Sure enough, it is worthy of an international brand, first-class service!! I will definitely come back to Chengdu if I have the opportunity to come to Chengdu in the future! I also share it with everyone, come to Chengdu to choose Ritz!

The Ritz-Carlton Hotel has a consistent style, good service, good location, good environment and enthusiastic staff. Thanks to robertli for his service, upgrading the room and solving problems in time. The Ritz-Carlton will be the first choice in Chengdu next time.

The check-in experience was fantastic, thank you to Robertli's service. The Michelin restaurant has a beautiful environment, exquisite and delicious dishes, and I have a good impression. I will definitely choose The Ritz Carlton Hotel next time I return to Chengdu

First of all, the hotel location is not good. Not even close to the subway station. Secondly, don’t expect The Ritz-Carlton service level here. I ask the concierge to recommend the good restaurant around the hotel which is not spicy the first guy cannot speak english and the second guy told me to go to the Sichuan restaurant and order non-spicy dishes. I have been to Chengdu about 20 years ago and I the hostel staff at that time had a better English skill. Thirdly, I book a long trip during my birthday period and my agent send the message to every hotel that this is my birthday trip. May be because it is not the exact date, so the hotel give me a card in the room said that “In acknowledgement of your birthday we thoughtfully prepare a SMALL cooky for you”. As a bonvoy titanium and I life time member this is the first time that a got a cooky for my birthday especially a “small” cooky from a bonvoy hotel (mostly I got cake, wine or sparkling wine). Moreover the cooky just show only on the card and never come to my room not even until the second night of the stay. I ask the front office about the card and the reaction is more weird. The manager of the hotel told me that it is the mistake from the english translation (which I didn’t expect from the Ritz-Carlton) and he also make a call to f&b manager to come and meet me face to face and order her to say Happy Birthday to me. The F&B manager also makes awkward face and say “Happy birthday” to me. This is one of the weirdest moment in my life, I didn’t even understand the point of order someone to say it in front of the hotel guest. In my culture I think this is a bit rude (may be not in China). However I never expect this kind of incident to happens in The Ritz-Carlton. The good thing is the room is nice and spacious. If you are fluent in chinese speaking and have a car rental or driver, I will recommend this hotel.

My daughter and I stayed at this hotel for two nights. The location was perfect. From the moment we stepped out of the taxi to check in, to the moment we stepped into the taxi to head for the airport, we were treated like royalty. Every staff member we encountered was friendly and helpful. The executive lounge manager ( I believe Bruce) was terrific. The rooms were large, clean, and the beds were extremely comfortable. Food and drinks were top-notch. We had drinks in the lounge bar and dinner at Li Xuan (one of the best meals of our two-week trip in China). We also had afternoon tea and breakfast at the lounge. No complaints from my picky 13-year old! I would highly recommend this hotel.
