My stay at this hotel was exemplary. From the excellent restaurant to the amazing ly decorated Japanese motif of the hotel rooms and hallways to the amazing staff at the front desk, the hospitality here is incredible. Restaurant - We had two incredible meals, Lunch and Breakfast here. Our waiter was amazing and the drinks are outstanding. I had the Nobu old fashioned...out of this world. we had the same waiter for both meals and he was amazing with his service and spot on meal recommendations. I apologize for not remembering his name. Room - Having been to Japan several times and done business there on extended stays I was impressed with the influence on the hotels motif and ambiance. Staying at Nobu Chicago invokes a chill, luxury yet peacful vibe that just keeps you at peace. Front Desk Staff - The beautiful front dest attendants, Chataun and Ashley were so amazing. So sincerely helpful in all facets in making sure we had a great stay at the hotel. They took care of us and sorted out any issue we had while familiarizing us with the area. We felt like we were in good hands within seconds of engaging with them and. The hospitality they showed us ensures that going forward Nobu Chicago will be our place to stay in 2025 whenever business brings us to Chicago. I also want to mention The gentleman who took care of our bags I think his name was Craig. Brother was also extremely helpful and professional. I would highly recommend a stay here when in town.

I had a wonderful stay at Nobu Hotel Chicago. It was my first time visiting the city and the property and the staff made me feel very welcomed. The facilities are beautiful and the heated bathroom floors were such a nice touch for my January trip. Would love to go back again!

Don't be fooled by the existing reviews. This is neither professionally run, nor a quality hotel. They just actively beg reviews from people who compliment them. Our first night the bed was beyond uncomfortable and low quality. The bathroom tub was full of splintered wood and the toilet, surprisingly, was made out of cheap plastic that was actually painful to sit on. We spent our first night being randomly awoken by loud bangs from within the hotel and could hear everything happening in our neighboring room. We hardly got sleep. The next morning when my partner went to shower he was shot in the face by a large piece of plastic when the shower head broke from the water pressure. Upon further inspection, you probably have a better shower head in your own home as they are all very cheap plastic simple shower heads. The shower then would only gush downward from that hole where the plastic broke out. I promptly went downstairs with the piece that exploded from our shower and spoke to Chautan, giving the plastic piece to her. I did not shout, I did not insult anyone, I did not insult the property. I simply explained that we had not been able to sleep, the room was not worth the money and that my partner had been shot in the face by a piece of the shower and our shower was now broken. I did not request to speak to management and I did not make requests for accommodations for the issues. I explicitly asked to just check us out and that we were going to stay somewhere else. Chautan politely asked if I would speak to her manager about the issues and was very kind, so I agreed. After a bit of a long wait, I met Apollo who took me over to the restaurant area to speak with me about what had happened with our stay. I explained the same to him and told him we were simply looking to leave. I explicitly did not ask for anything from Apollo, I said we just wanted to go somewhere else. Apollo offered that if we were willing to give the hotel another chance he would comp the first night and he wanted to move us into a nicer suite. He and Chautan had both been very kind, so I agreed to give the hotel another night. While our things were moved however we did not have the ability to shower and go on with our plans for the day, and spent the day exhausted. Chautan kindly gave us keys to shower in the spa, but since we had no codes or keys for a locker we had to essentially sit and guard each others things while the other showered in a basement without wifi. The room we were upgraded to was alright. The toilets were not made of plastic and the bathtub was less shoddy but was at least in line with the actual market value of our previous, heavily overpriced room. I think the management of this hotel is not aware of where they are, Chicago. For the cost of a "Deluxe Zen Suite", which is essentially a normal hotel room, not in any way a suite, with less decoration and a slight echo, I could have stayed at The Langham, The Waldorf Astoria or the Swissotel in an apartment style suite with two bathrooms. To say the rooms are overpriced and not in touch with the area market is an understatement. We tried the restaurant that morning for breakfast, but it was like the rest of the hotel: overpriced and deeply disappointing. Additionally, they don't tell you that you're going to be charged 10 dollars for water if you say the wrong thing. All around the company seems to have deceptive practices and I started to see a history of that when I started reading reviews on here. We tried to enjoy our day, but due to the complications with the hotel missed a few reservations. We did our best to enjoy our trip and the staff remained kind, making sure we knew their names and giving us cards letting us know to mention them on trip adviser as they were trying to get the number 1 spot. In fact, if you say a nice thing to any employee they will inform you of this and give you a card with their name written on it. The biggest issue came the day of checkout. I went to do the in room checkout and noticed we were charged for the entire stay, something I explicitly did not agree to and not what was discussed. For the reasons mentioned above about cost and quality, I would not have stayed another night in this hotel when I could have had better quality elsewhere for far less. I went downstairs where Chautan was working again and informed her of the error. She acknowledged it and said Apollo was not available, but since I had a train to catch it would be corrected and I would be emailed the statement. I didn't have much of a choice since Apollo was not available and I had to get to the station. Imagine my surprise when an email comes through while I am halfway home on the train, letting me know without a single word from Apollo that my card had been charged the full amount. When I called the hotel, the polite and responsible person I had spoken to in the restaurant essentially tried to gaslight me, saying he never said he'd comp a night and that the "upgrade" was sufficient in his eyes. I caught him in a lie several times on the call, where he admitted to saying he had offered the comp but then he backtracked saying it was only going to be comped if I had chosen to leave. If this were the case, I'd have beyond happily left the hotel as I had intended to pay them for the terrible night and move on. If I had been offered to leave at no charge, I'd have taken it immediately. He offered me a single night free if I returned, in the same low quality room we originally booked, which I said I have no use for and it was not the agreement. He said he would contact me no later than that upcoming monday the 22nd of December. I never heard from Apollo again. When I chose to reach out again to their sales department, Ms. Jasmine Mendez, the director of sales and marketing also decided this wasn't worth her time. In summary, I was scammed into staying another night in quite frankly one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed in, with not really any redeeming qualities. The rooms are hardly decorated concrete boxes that echo, the beds are terrible, the bathroom fixtures are the cheapest hardware they could find and the management has no sense of integrity. If you stay here and you have a problem: Leave. Do not give them a second chance, do not believe anything management says to you or offers you. Leave. I asked these people for nothing, they offered a good reason to give them a second chance and then immediately went back on it. Stay somewhere worth the money, because this place is not it. Their Trip Adviser score is just the result of very active begging for positive reviews from people who have perfect stays and aren't conscious of the Chicago hotel market.

Fabulous hotel. Stylish interior, large rooms, friendly and very polite team. I will book this hotel on my next trip to Chicago! From the style of the rooms, closet space, bed linen, shower pressure, Dyson hairdryer, this hotel checks all the boxes!

I will never stay anywhere else in Chicago. I came into town for work and brought my hubby and baby since we have family in the area. We spent two nights at the tail end of our trip at the Nobu Hotel and had the best stay. The beds in the rooms are amazing- they are soft but not too mushy. The linens are absolutely delicious. Everything about the room is luxurious. I will say that there was one team member who just really set this stay apart from any of the other luxury hotel experiences I’ve had. Gino was so wonderful and helpful from the minute we checked in. He brought up all of our bags for us and was just so friendly and welcoming. He went over all of the details of the rooms and even clued me in on the Dyson hairdryer and flat iron in the bathroom.. umm yes please!! He even brought up my DoorDash order so I didn’t have to run down after I was already in my pajamas. To the whole team- thanks for a great stay. And for the management- you have a gem in Gino. Take good care of him!
