Great central location to explore the city
Beautiful traditional hotel next to the main railway and views of the famous Dom cathedral. Friendly welcome by staff. Food was excellent Rooms were clean and well presented there was a pillow menu which you may need as pillows were very very flat but lovely and soft and personally the bed was too soft for me but that is personal preference. I did ask at reception for an extra pillow and it didn’t arrive. We were also asked on arrival if we wanted turn down service which we said yes to but didn’t happen either. Not the end of the world and I didn’t chase it up. Hence the service was a bit slow at times but that didn’t spoil a lovely first visit to a beautiful city and would recommend staying

Nice Setting, but Service Falls Short of 5-Star Standards
We recently booked seven rooms at the hotel for a week-long conference, and the feedback from everyone in our group was fairly consistent. While the rooms were adequate, if you're staying in a Cathedral Suite, be prepared for noise. Sirens, partygoers at all hours, and endless church bells make it difficult to get a peaceful night's sleep, especially if you're a light sleeper like me. The most frustrating issue was the inconsistent service, which fell short of expectations given the high cost of staying at the hotel. The Japanese gentleman at breakfast was exceptional, but unfortunately, others were quite rude and dismissive. The bellman at the front was one of the grumpiest I've encountered, and this sentiment was shared by all seven of us who stayed. Additionally, the concierge was rather unprofessional when I had to cancel a dinner event we had booked through him. I was taken back by his tone, especially considering how helpful he had been during the initial booking. Overall, the hotel does not deliver the consistent five-star service that you would expect for the price you pay.

Disappointing
Impossible to use old tech telephones in the rooms, bad wi fi, the curtains and blackout of the suite fell almost on my head and to the floor and nobody cared pr asked , the young man at the reception on morning check last saturday out spoke in such a high volume that everybody around could know how much I paid for the room or any details of my stay, Would not go back.

Great location!
My first visit to Cologne in over 50 years! This hotel has absolutely the best location and staff (special thanks to Tim, Maja and Anathasia). The breakfast is delicious and the bar wonderful. Thank you for a memorable stay.....we will be back!

Excellent Experience
We experienced excellent service, professional and friendly staff, and a well-managed and very comfortable hotel experience. The breakfast was great, along with a great afternoon tea selection. The cleaning was meticulous as well, and it was very thoughtful to have the mini bar included, to have drinks at our disposal. Overall fantastic experience.
