The love to eat at the restaurant Monarch located at the Thompson. This time, we decided to stay the night at the hotel for our anniversary, and the room, the service, and the entertainment options made for a great stay. There are multiple great restaurants and bars in the hotel, so you don't even have to leave the building.

Very centrally located a block from most of downtown attractions (the eye, the ATT square, the French room and bar at the Adolphus, Neiman Marcus, the Thanks-Giving chapel), the hotel is stylish and the room quite awesome. Spacious, floor to ceiling, wall to wall windows, huge walking shower (only the water pressure was an issue in my room). My friend had a massage at the spa and dipped her toes in the outdoor people and was very happy. My only low light is the lack of bar, as the only bar turns into a club, at least Saturday evening when i was visiting. Good news is that The Adolphus French room bar is close by. But it is not the same.

Hidden gem in Downtown Dallas With beautiful views, Monarch was a wonderful dinning experience. I Highly recommend this hotel. Bars were amazing, staff were wonderful. If you are looking for an upscale hotel in Dallas this is at the top of the list.

Pretty decent overall. The front desk was kind about helping me with some printing I needed to do during the stay. Globalist recognition with the suite upgrade and a la carte breakfast at Little Daisy was appreciated. I like the concept of coffee at the lobby in the mornings but would have been nicer if tea was offered also. Little Daisy has friendly service but if you have food allergies and make requests for things to be removed from dishes, make sure you check before consuming - I had two instances where intolerance requests to were not adhered to. The spa was not very good across the board unfortunately. I had three treatments overall so got quite a sampling and had a friend with me on one of the visits and she wasn't happy with her massage for being very light pressure. At luxury hotels and at this price point, it would be rare to have such consistently poor quality treatments. In addition to Little Daisy there are two in-house restaurants that serve very good quality food. I would recommend both however if you only have capacity for one, make it Monarch. Flawless experience all round. I probably wouldn't come back here next time I'm in Dallas as I like to incorporate spa treatments conveniently into my stay and neither I nor my friend are inclined to return to this spa.

It’s in a horrible location. Staff was not helpful. Do not recommend. There are very basic things that the staff could help with that they don’t seem to care about. They don’t care if they help you. It’s very loud. I’ve stayed all over the world and this is one of the loudest places I’ve stayed. I do not recommend.
