Noisy as heck
Really wanted to like it…but the noise from not only the outside but the loud elevators and echo inside the walls late at night and trying to relax was absolutely horrendous. I was in one of the corner suites…room was spacious and nicely proportioned but that wasn’t enough to overcome the incessant noise and banging from the elevators and noise. Fitness room is spacious but a lot of equipment is broken or in absolute disarray. The potential was there…

Beware: street noise
Street noise coming into your room is extremely high. Building was built originally for commercial purpose not for residential. If you care about sleeping well, please stay somewhere else. We slept 2 hours max on our fist night and even though we booked for 2 nights, we checked out after just 1.

Downtown Dallas gem
This is my go to hotel for business in downtown Dallas. Rooms are fantastic, restaurant options are great, and the location gives you additional options like chic fil a or an easy walk to 7/11 for supplies. Downtown Dallas is a ghost Town after hours so having everything you need is essential when staying in this area but this is the best place to do it.

Very plush hotel. Welcoming yet professional. Great views of Dallas. Art everywhere is a real bonus. Staff friendly and welcoming. Stylish, comfortable, well presented rooms. Visit Catbird - such a cool venue for drinks or a meal. Great range of cocktails. Can't thank staff at Catbird enough for making my partner's birthday the best! When we returned for drinks after a concert, staff at Catbird really made a fuss of us and made it such a special evening. Definitely the best hotel in Dallas!!

Another Thompson to love!
If having to stay downtown, this’ the best option. It’s beautiful, they have amazing restaurants and incredible staff who are always kind and there for anything you need. The rooms are beautiful and very spacious. The only critique I have is that their shower products are very masculine so ladies, bring your own if you’re sensitive to smells. =)
