Rixos Premium Dubrovnik

Pratap was incredibly knowledgeable with the history of all of the food we ate. The food was amazing and perfectly cooked to request. His awareness of allergies was also in depth and made sure to be cautious of cross contamination. Prataps experience shone through and he really was a great chef. It was our fort time having tepanyaki and it thoroughly set the bar high for future experiences.

Amazing hotel. The breakfast is incredible (never seen prosecco on a breakfast buffet before). Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Great location for the Old Town and Lapad. Superb experience all round, would recommend to anyone.

Lovely hotel on the edge of the Adriatic with stunning views, we arrived at 2pm and had to wait an hour until we were able to check in. The staff are all so friendly and welcoming and show you around the lobby and give you information on all the facilities. We were given a room on the right hand side of the hotel (which is the new building) which was very spacious and modern and had a view of the sea even though we didn’t pay extra for this which was great. The breakfast was amazing, so much to choose from, we couldn’t fault it and the beautiful views on the terrace add to how lovely it is. The pool area was also lovely and there’s even steps down into the sea. We used the spa which had so many different facilities such as sauna, ice room and a Turkish bath room which were all free of charge. However, the only thing I would say is the walls in hot tub pool were a bit grimy and looked like they weren’t cleaned regularly. The food and drink were also pricey (€28 for a chicken caesar salad) but we mostly ate out in the Old Town which is only a 20 minute walk away. Overall, we would definitely recommend this hotel for a stay in Dubrovnik.

Positives- all of the staff were very friendly and helpful. Took suitcase up to room etc nothing was a problem what we asked for. Extremely comfortable beds and room. Very clean with dressing gowns, fresh towels all the time, high quality interior, air con and a really good nights sleep. The views are amazing and the food at breakfast was exceptional in regards to the choice. We had breakfast included and it was definitely worth it. There was literally everything from omelettes to salads to champagne. The buffet of an evening was also the same but no champagne unfortunately. At 45 euros each for the evening buffet it was pricey but was good. Indoor pool was good, again very clean and access to clean towels all the time. Outdoor pool was freezing - needs to be heated. The spa facilities which were included were also a nice touch. Negatives- The hotel lacks any kind of ambience, is very clinical. No entertainment. Kids would be bored out their brains here. There also isn’t anything to do within the immediate vicinity outside of the hotel. Unless you walk 30 mins to the old town. Balcony was spacious and had two tiny little chairs- we asked for this to be changed so we could actually sit out there and it was. But needs loungers out there Very much an adult relaxing place. The hotel lacks a cheaper eating area such as a sandwich bar or cafe. In my opinion the prices are above a 5 star London hotel and simply ridiculous. 15 euros for a cake, 30 euros for a pizza, etc etc 22 euros for a cocktail. There is no way you could sit here and enjoy a couple of cocktails of an evening. 6 euros for a small coke. Prices are the same if you wanted a treatment in the spa 120 euros for a facial. Hotel is fine if you just want to read a book 24 hours a day and sit on a lounger and are happy to get a pastry from the bakery up the road. Can’t fault the service or cleanliness, prices let it down.

We arrived on 16/04 and were greeted at the door by the bell boys. They took our bags and showed us to reception. We were offered a glass of bubbles and the kids had juice or water. The receptionist showed us where the amenities were ie bar, restaurant, spa and pool area. We had booked 3 double rooms for our stay. Unfortunately we booked the cheaper rooms which didn’t have the view of the sea. Knowing that now the view is definitely worth the up grade. One of the rooms had a problem with the shower not draining so we were offered a room move or them to fix it when they had the part. We were kept informed what was happening. The lobby bar is lovely and fresh with a pianist playing most evenings. Drinks were on the expensive side but I suppose when you book a high end hotel you expect to pay the prices. The rooms were very clean and the rooms made up every morning. The outside area was having a make over and taking a bit longer than expected due to poor weather which can’t be helped. Overall the hotel is in a great location with some of the best views a hotel can get. 100% would definitely stay here again if we came to Dubrovnik.
