Kimpton Charlotte Square

If you're looking for an exceptional hotel in an equally exceptional location in Edinburgh look no further. A short walk to everywhere you could want to visit in Edinburgh. Celebrating my partner Charlotte's(!) 40th for a few days, we can't rate this masterclass of a hotel highly enough. This opinion comes from 2 people working in the events industry so experience the very best and sometimes the worst hotels worldwide. From the initial welcome, the very clean and cosy atmosphere, wonderful amenities and extremely high standard of accommodation, to the fantastic service and friendliness of the entire team (reception, concierge, bar staff, breakfast staff) the Kimpton has provided us with one of our most favourite breaks away ever. The warm and friendly service provided that of a small boutique hotel, smiles and warm welcomes at any point throughout the hotel. To say you feel welcomed as a valued guest quickly became more of a feeling of 'coming home' after some daily chilly walks around Edinburgh and one climb up to Arthur's Seat! Breakfast was plentiful and of a fantastic standard, complimented by the super friendly staff that couldn't do enough for you and likewise the 'happy hours' between 5pm and 6pm with a range of complimentary drinks in the beautiful bar area were made even more enjoyable by the wonderful bar staff. The most sincere thanks to the entire team for making our stay so memorable. We already can't wait to return and will certainly be recommending you to any family and friends that we know are visiting your fantastic city.

Such an amazing stay. I was there with my boyfriend after a work trip. Staff was so friendly, we were within walking distance to Old Town, and we really enjoyed the bar/restaurants on site. Room was comfortable and had everything we needed. Would absolutely recommend and stay here again.

Loved our weekend stay here! The hotel is located on a beautiful quiet square overlooking a private park. It's a residential area with many elegant Georgian style townhomes. In keeping with the Kimpton brand, the decor was eclectic and beautiful and the Happy Hour was enjoyable. Staff couldn't have been more helpful! We enjoyed a delicious dinner and breakfasts at their in house restaurant which is quite the scene on a Saturday night! You are not far from Old Town Edinburgh which can be reached by a short Uber ride or a longer walk. We were very happy with this choice and would definitey stay here again!

I had the best stay here! The staff is amazing, welcoming and helpful. The location is 🤩 We were going there for a short trip, and everything was within 10-15 mins walking distance - absolutely vital when you want to be time efficient! The hotel and the roomes were very clean and neat.. what more can I say! Will definitely not be my last stay here 🫶🏼🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Really enjoyable stay, we were lucky enough to be on the 5th floor with great views of the Edinburgh Castle. We had dinner at Baba restaurant which is were the breakfast is also served again amazing food as always is at a Kimpton Hotel. Made use of the gym and spa areas, a lot of different options to use in the gym (I’d say a lot better then I’ve seen at branded Gyms). Spa area has Pool, Sauna and Steam Room as well as Treatments a must do if you have time. Only slight downfall, there was quite a lot of rain on the weekend we visited, which caused a slight leak in the stairs/lift area on level 5 it got worse during our stay. However saying that overall it was a great stay
