About the Hotel
Overlooking one of Edinburgh's prettiest private garden squares, Kimpton Charlotte Square consists of seven interconnecting Georgian townhouses in the heart of the New Town. Our beautifully formed bedrooms and suites are inspired by the golden age of travel and a genuine sense of Scottish hospitality. Sitting proudly in the middle of the hotel is The Garden bar and restaurant, an oasis of calm in the centre of the city. Light and bright during the day for breakfast and lunch, transforming in to a fairy lit hideaway in the evening for cocktails and dinner. Sample our Twilight Tea, a unique take on the classic afternoon tea with a focus on savoury flavours from 12pm to 10pm every day. BABA restaurant is a sumptuous, relaxed journey to the Levant, featuring mezze, charcoal dishes and small plates with bold Mediterranean and Middle Eastern flavours perfect for sharing. Cocktails take on the adventurous flavours to continue the journey until late in the BABA bar.

Best Hotel Stay Ever!!
A truly gorgeous hotel in the most perfect location in Edinburgh. Gavin Stirling, our concierge, and Abril at reception, went above and beyond in their hospitality. Abril planned out a magical walk for us, taking us out of the tourist area to a neighborhood where “the real people” live. She was spot on as that walk was one of the highlights of our trip. Gavin was always available for questions, water bottles and great information about his incredible city. He made us feel like we were home. Our room was so well designed. Every detail curated just so. And the bathroom! It was beyond luxurious, with a soaking tub and a view. Breakfast was delicious and the restaurant staff were as accommodating as could be. All in all, one of the best hotel experiences of my life. We can’t wait to return.

Beautiful hotel with fantastic staff. Everyone goes above & beyond so nice. Brilliant service at all levels. All areas are so attractive & well thought out. Lovely room very comfortable & great breakfast selection. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Will definitely return.

A favourite hotel
Fantastic place to stay in Edinburgh. Very nice rooms, great restaurant (especially the breakfast), but most of all the service is fantastic. The team at the Kimpton greet you by name and go out of their way to take care of you. This was my third stay here, and all of my visits have been great.

Kimpton Charlotte Square
Enjoyed a lovely stay at the Kimpton Charlotte Square in Edinburgh for our son’s wedding. The hotel is ideally situated just off Princes Street with car parking, for an additional cost, on site. The rooms were of a good size and reasonably priced for the location. Baba’s restaurant in the hotel also serves the bar area and we enjoyed a selection of small plates from their menu. Our room was situated in a quiet area overlooking George Street. My only criticism was that the pillows were awful and certainly need replacing. Otherwise a lovely hotel with excellent staff.

An absolute delight
Brilliant location, lovely hotel but, the standout for us was the professionalism of the staff. Everyone we encountered was polite, courteous and friendly. I would highly recommend for location, comfortable, clean rooms, pleasant public areas and fabulous service. A delight.
