Perfect little luxurious gem
I loooved this hotel so much. I got a room upgrade which I appreciated a lot. The suite I stayed in was gorgeous. The breakfast was delicious. Also staff was very friendly and supportive.

Wonderful Stay at the Nira Caledonia
Easy check-in, kind staff, cozy room (three flights of stairs up) and excellent restaurant. Well-located hotel in a clean and quiet neighborhood, close walk to Stockbridge and also walkable to Old Town/Royal Mile, etc. Stayed in wee single which was small but perfect for solo travelers (room and bathroom were efficiently laid out and designed).

Edinburgh special!
We had a recent family trip to Scotland to visit our ancestral homeland. The trip included a 2 night stay at the Nira Caledonia. We were very impressed. In their website, they mention having down pillows as a perk. Before we booked, I wrote an email to them asking if they also had non-down pillows as my wife is alergic to down. I received a very nice reply within 24 hours stating that they do, indeed, offer non-down pillows and would ensure that we were given them. Once I booked the hotel, I received another email stating that they had our reservation and would ensure the correct pillows were used. The one concern is that this hotel is strictly a 4 storey walkup. Having said that, the staff were very accommodating and took our luggage upstairs to our room and then brought it back down on departure. The rooms were very spacious and comfortable. The beds were comfortable and we slept well. There was no noise to speak of and the restaurant served very nice meals and a full cooked breakfast in the morning as part of our package. We would definitely recommend this hotel!

Birthday weekend
We recently stayed in the jacuzzi suite (for obvious reasons) and it was lovely! the suite was spacious and beautifully decorated- some lovely complimentary products too. It was a little dated and patchy cleaning in parts, the same for the bar/restaurent - nothing a good dusting wouldn’t solve. The staff were lovely and once you have done the stairs a few times you are good to go!
