For my family, one of the best hotel experience since a long time . Kempinski is (for us) usually always good to fantastic. I can clearly recommend the Kempinski in Engelberg, one of the best in Switzerland. Go there and have great fun, great food and great sleep.

…. an afternoon tea and snack. Location deserves 5 stars, really in exceptional shape; personnel not always competent and friendly. We unfortunately had to deal with cold food, and tea without taste. Could have been a bad day and conincidence though for a location with highest ambitions not in line with expectations.

Disappointing vegetarian food
We had a business event with dinner there. Atmosphere was ok, but vegetarian main course was overcooked unseasoned risotto soaked in olive oil with neither vegetables, mushrooms nor decoration. A shame for the price they charge as I have eaten better in almost any Swiss village restaurants. Nobody at my table finished their vegetarian dish, all went back to the kitchen after we tried a few spoons. Meat was seemingly okay…
