We were so excited to spend four nights at El Conquistador, but our stay was cut short due to a series of unfortunate events. Don't be fooled by the online photos and reviews. This place is a far cry from its former glory. From the moment we arrived, it was clear something was amiss. Our initial room reeked of mold, and the replacement wasn't much better. To make matters worse, the air conditioner in the second room was broken. Exhausted and desperate for sleep, I reluctantly settled in. The next day, we ventured to Palomino Island, only to find that the waters were murky and uninviting. By this point, I was ready to pack up and leave. But with over $300 a night invested, I felt compelled to give it another chance. So, I requested a third room. Unfortunately, our luck didn't improve. The battery in the entrance door died, leaving us stranded outside in the sweltering heat. After several frustrating minutes, a maintenance worker finally arrived to unlock the door. As a last-ditch effort, the hotel offered us an "upgraded" room. However, the damage was already done. The constant inconveniences and poor service made it impossible to enjoy our vacation. I wouldn't recommend staying here even if it were free. The last room didn’t even had shower gel, the employees seemed miserable and overworked, and the resort itself feels outdated and neglected. The only bright spot was the friendly bartender on the rooftop bar. She was a breath of fresh air amidst the chaos. But unfortunately, her positive attitude couldn't outweigh the numerous negative experiences. Save yourself the hassle and look elsewhere. This is not the relaxing getaway you deserve."

We had the pleasure of being served by Osbel at Bono Restaurant, and his service was nothing short of excellent. Osbel’s knowledge of the menu was impressive. When we mentioned our preferences, he confidently recommended dishes that suited our tastes perfectly. His wine suggestion was spot on, complementing the appetizer and entrée flawlessly. Not only that, but his recommendations for both the appetizer and dessert were equally fantastic, creating a dining experience that felt personalized and thoughtful. His excellent service truly elevated our evening, and we left feeling highly satisfied. We’ll definitely be returning and will hope to be served by Osbel again! Highly recommend his exceptional service.

A few weeks ago I was staying on a business trip to close a big deal. I fell in love with the hotel, the treatment and its food. I went to the Bella Vista restaurant and was delighted with their food where we met a very nice blonde manager who, if I remember correctly, called Sallyan. But we had an unpleasant incident in which we recommended the hotel management to be more attentive to its employees and/or cameras since we saw this person having romantic contact and relationships, I understand that with another hotel employee. I don't know the employee regulations of said hotel but it was unpleasant to approach and see that in the hotel facilities. I was thinking of returning to my family but I find that act so unpleasant that I will not return.

We attended as part of the PR CPA State Society annual convention. While the facilities are acceptable, perhaps around a 3-star level, the service was extremely disappointing. There was a noticeable lack of staff in every area, including parking, the restaurant, and the ferry service. We had to wait three hours for the ferry and another three hours for our food at Ventanas restaurant. Overall, we were very dissatisfied and plan to voice our concerns to the CCPA convention organizers, urging them to consider a different venue for future events.

Beautiful resort that is still working on coming back from the hurricane. We stayed in the marina section and loved it. While the room was just ok, the view and proximity to the water park and boat to their private island was fantastic. The resort seems set up for those who don’t like to leave the cacoon of the grounds and excursions booked via the hotel. Our family is more adventurous and we left a lot on our own. The guards at the gate made it seem like this a little out of the ordinary, but they were always kind. All in all we would return and would recommend.
