Nestled among the hills of the Hoosier National Forest, French Lick Resort is home to two nationally historic hotels, three challenging golf courses, two rejuvenating spas, impressive meeting venues and a Vegas-style casino. Recognized by the National Register of Historic Places, the French Lick Springs Hotel, a part of the Lifestyle collection of Preferred Hotels & Resorts, is housed in a turn-of-the-century Beaux Arts building. Unparalleled service and attention to detail make this private 3,000-acre estate feel like home away from home. Well-appointed accommodations, each reflecting the city's storied traditions, with modern furnishings and top of the line amenities, yet still featuring historical accents that complement the hotel's past.

Very disappointed after our stay here following the Polar Express train. The lobby is cute and has some historic elements, the rooms are terribly outdated. No historic charm, just outdated and in need of lots of trim and wall repair. Our room was very basic two queen bed and the bathroom resembled a hospital bathroom. Lotion and hand soap containers attached to the counter had dust and residual soap/lotion from last usages. The extra blanket, wasn’t folded in the drawer and we suspected not clean. My husband called down to housekeeping to ask for two wine glasses to enjoy wine we brought with us in our room and we were redirected to several other departments to be told they could only provide glasses if we purchased wine. Apparently the nearly $400 room only supplies plastic glasses. Service all around was lacking. We ate a very subpar meal at the Power Plant Bar and Grill and they began vacuuming the entire restaurant at 8:15 with a full restaurant of people. Service, ambiance, cleanliness are all in need of serious improvement!

Attended a dance convention so socialized quite a bit in ballroom. Very nice hotel with good service and lots of space. Had a meal in casual dining room which worked out well. Walked by indoor pool. Looked nice. Good parking and elevators worked fine. Older hotel.

Great location, beautiful architecture and easy to get around. If you love history, this is a great place to find it. Great staff and accommodations made it an enjoyable experience. Sitting in the huge second floor porch was a great way to end each day.

The hotel is indeed beautiful inside the lobby, but remember, it is a very old place. We had a really nice corner room with sitting areas. But the floors creaked so badly, it would wake the other person up no matter what. We NEVER had water hot enough for a shower our entire stay. The only really nice people we experienced was in the spa and 1875 Steakhouse. The front desk people were not hospitable at all. They went out of their way to get tips at every corner ( what happened to being friendly just because you're happy). The ultimate insult was getting a Starbucks coffee in the morning at the lobby shop, and after one sip, knew it wasn't Starbucks.... It had been watered down considerably. My husband and I made it a nice trip just relaxing and being with each other, but we have learned that this place isn't worth the enormous prices and inconvenience you pay to be in the space....won't stay there again.

What an awesome historic hotel to visit in southern Indiana. There is so much to do here from golf to the casino. Everything is very well kept and the staff are very professional and accommodating. This is a complete resort hotel with great dining options and so much more.
