Great hotel in the centre of things in Genoa. Staff exceptional, fantastic staircase - stayed here when going to the Opera(3 minutes walk) and would definitely stay again. Rooms with all facilities, spacious bathroom and very quiet at night which is great for a city centre hotel.

The hotel has been renovated and the rooms are very nice. Unfortunately we had to wait for a table for breakfast and by our second breakfast the salmon was ready. We asked for extra cotton pads and a sewing kit but were not given sewing kit. The staff are friendly and helpful.

We had Christmas Day Lunch, it was superb, the food and service were excellent. I thought great value for the price we paid. We could not find any faults at all for the whole experience. The menu was translated into English which was a superb touch.

I sued to stay at another hotel when I visit Genoa. I tried Bristol Palace this time. It was great, location was excellent, and the service was superb. Also the rooms very very comfortable.I had breakfast which was delicious. I really enjoyed staying at Bristol Palace. I will definitely stay there again.

I am afraid the hotel did not live up to its 5 star rating. We went on an offer to include one Dinner and a trip to a winery. The winery trip was not really free as we had to pay €500 to travel there. The driver did not know where we were going. We ended up taking a drive along the coast - still paying €500. Breakfast was average and all the supposed hot dishes were cold - to have any cooked items was an extra charge! The Sunday breakfast was a shambles as there were few staff and the room was full - something which the hotel should have anticipated. On Sunday evening we intended to eat in the bar having had lunch out. The bar was closed for a private event so we ate in the draughty foyer. I did complain but the answer was the hotel was very busy. We paid €1400 for what was a disappointing experience. We chose the hotel as we had previously stayed at the Due Torre hotel in Bologna which was excellent.
