The Park Hyatt Saigon is a quiet elegant retreat in the heart of the bustling city. A mindful architecture reminiscent of the past French Colonial influence combined with the ease of modern comforts. The well-earned five-star rating is clearly reflected in the service. Every staff member shows the same cohesive attention to detail. The Opera Breakfast Buffet is the perfect start to the day with a wide array of choices. Most of the items are staples but other delicious dishes, including local favorites, are rotated through. The city view is wonderful and not noisy. Housekeeping was perfect every single day for a one week stay. Xuan Spa is a marvelous retreat for tired muscles. Room service options are very limited late night. Pool area adequate and tidy. Take a mental note of the artwork throughout the guest area; they are a meaningful reflection of the Vietnamese culture and are exquisite. The location is very convenient to local sights; the famed Opera House is a neighbor. Do not hesitate to arrange the Luxury Car Service and Fast Track through the hotel. The journey to/from Tan Son Nhat is made much less stressful when there is a local airport service to help guide through the tedious process and the result is long lines and uncertainty are gone. A world class property for any length of stay in a highly desirable destination.

What a beautiful hotel! Staff were very helpful and friendly. Food was delicious. Good location in Ho Chi Minh City. On top of all of that, they upgraded us to the executive suite which made the stay even more memorable! I would definitely come back to stay here again!

When I booked the Park Hyatt Saigon I was aware that the property has a certain age. However, hotels with history and character can have a special appeal. When you enter the hotel it looks grand and luxurious. Fabulous flower bouquets, wonderful local art and the famous lobby lounge provide a five star experience. That's about where it ends. The room is rather small, but I was aware of this as well. I stayed in a Deluxe Room with terrace and direct access to the pool area. A big advantage, if you want to make regular use of the pool. The size is generous for a city hotel pool. There was quite some sand in the corners at the bottom and it shows that the pool is not cleaned thoroughly. The condition of some pool towels is not great at all as well. The hotel room, including some other areas of the hotel are poorly maintained and the property shows its age. Furniture in the room and on the terrace looks tired. The bathroom was not properly cleaned every day. I found long hair and paper bits from previous guests on the floor. The table on the terrace had to be cleaned before I could use it. The frame of the door leading to the terrace was dirty and the cushion covers are stained. AC temperature control in the room did not work at all. Room temperature remained far too cold whatever temperature I tried to set. I addressed some issues to the front office manager the other day. I was told that they would take care of it and try to make the best. We even agreed on a specific time when they could enter the room and solve the issues. They exchanged one chair on the terrace and cleaned the bathroom throughly. I could not make out other improvements and no one followed up with me. The Opera restaurant can be quite hectic in the morning during breakfast and even there it shows its age in some areas, e.g. chipped chairs and tables, stains on fabrics. The Square One restaurant has a nice ambiance and the food is fine at both outlets. Service provided was correct, but not the very best compared to other places (Capella Hanoi, Four Seasons The Nam Hai Hoi An, Anantara Hoi An, Zannier Hotels Bai San Ho, Amanoi) I visited during my three-week trip through Vietnam and which I reviewed as well. Think twice before you spend your dollars here, as there are quite a few other and more affordable options in the city. With much better maintenance and care this hotel could be a nice option. This underwhelming and disappointing experience made me change my reservation from Duhau Palace Park Hyatt in Buenos Aires to Four Seasons.

Beautiful, spacious hotel which made you feel very special. Very attentive staff, the rooms were large and the beds extremely comfortable. I loved the pool area which was a great place to relax after a busy sightseeing day. The price was part of the whole holiday so I can’t comment on it but I am sure it would not be cheap. We ate breakfast there and it was fantastic. There was so much variety , all beautifully displayed and very fresh. I don’t imagine anybody not being able to find something to their taste. It was nice and central as well so plenty to see just walking from the door . I would certainly stay there again.
