About the Hotel
Perched high above the desert capital of Jodhpur, Umaid Bhawan Palace is the last of the great palaces of India and one of the largest private residences in the world – set amidst 26 acres of lush gardens. Designed by renowned Edwardian architect Henry Lanchester, the palace is a blend of eastern and western architectural influences. Its majestic 105 – foot high cupola is influenced by the Renaissance, while the towers draw inspiration from Rajput tradition. The lavish interiors with gilt furniture and elegant artwork follow the Art Deco style, complemented by the exotic murals by the self-exiled Polish artist Stefan Norblin. In 1997, the palace was converted into a luxury hotel, and is now managed by TAJ. With this, the TAJ extends its grand luxury palace experience to the city of Jodhpur.

Shobhit Mathur the chef at Umed bhawan took really good care of us , he prepared a special dish for as it was our anniversary, the dish was really tasty , also he suggested a ker sangri dish which as awesome ,,Thanks shobhit for your hospitality

Great history and a place to spend your time
Not to miss this place when in jodhpur. Do mehrangarh fort, jaswant thada and umaid bhavan in one day. Do lunch in spice story which is near to umaid bhawan palace. Do take a guide, as that will enrich your experience. They have nice little place outside to eat.

Umaid bhawan pallace is one of the greatest places in India. The ambience is so beautiful. The hospitality they provided was awesome, they served 'delicious' dishes. The place is so clean, the atmosphere of the place is just awesome, everything was so perfect.

Each and every person who served us was very kind, polite and really helpful. Each person of the staff had served us at the best. Special thanks to : Chain Singh Chetan (for taking our extra ordinary pics and videos, and guiding us around the hotel) Achal,Vikram,Rameshwar and ( anyone from housekeeping who came to clean and decorate our room, in case if I have missed someone) Avi Mishra Siddique (for serving us at breakfast) Sikandar (for beautiful palace tour) Aman (for serving and suggesting food options at dinner and breakfast)
