Conrad Koh Samui

We recently stayed at Conrad Koh Samui and were upgraded to the five-island villa, which had a spectacular view. While we appreciated the upgrade and some positive moments, our overall experience was far from seamless. The good: The general manager, Marco, was proactive and regularly checked in with guests during breakfast, and the guest relations manager promptly followed up on the issues we raised. Several staff members, such as the Thai boxing trainer and coffee master, were genuinely warm and attentive. The not-so-good: Unfortunately, there were multiple lapses in quality and service that left us disappointed. The food quality was inconsistent, and we even found a piece of glass in the welcome snack. Thankfully, it was caught by a tooth and didn’t result in injury, but it was alarming. Additionally, there was hair inside the soup bar box and the bathtub. The hair in the tub was left untouched even after housekeeping visited the next day. These oversights made us question the attention to hygiene and detail. To address the food and hygiene issues, we were offered 20,000 Hilton points as compensation on site. While this gesture was appreciated, it doesn’t make up for the shortcomings. Points don’t replace the value of a smooth, high-quality experience, which is what we came for and unfortunately didn’t receive. Housekeeping also seemed focused on presentation rather than practicality. While towel animals are charming, we’d prefer the team spend time on essential cleaning and upkeep instead of decorative touches. Our check-in and check-out experiences were equally frustrating. There was no pre-arrival email, so we had to reach out ourselves for basic information. Upon arrival, we were given drinks and cold towels but were rushed to our room before we could finish the welcome drink. We were not well informed about the resort activities required an advanced booking. When we inquired about a late check-out as Diamond members, we were initially told it wasn’t possible due to high occupancy. However, after we raised the issues we had experienced, we were suddenly offered a late check-out. We respectfully declined, as by that point, we were honestly just eager to leave the property. The check-out process itself was poorly handled. When we approached the desk, we weren’t asked about our stay but were instead immediately questioned about minibar usage and asked for a credit card. When I asked why the card on file couldn’t be charged, the staff responded curtly and said it wasn’t allowed, which felt unnecessarily rigid and unfriendly. Everything seemed to be rushed for us. It’s disappointing to see the property focusing on cutting corners instead of ensuring a smooth and enjoyable guest experience. While the villa and some staff were excellent, the lack of attention to detail and guest comfort made this stay fall far short of the luxury standard Conrad is known for.

We loved being welcome by the staff who are so attentive and quick to help us. The lobby provided us with cold towels and drinks during the check -in process, which was so refreshing after over 26 hours of flight. In our room, we were greeted with an animal towel along with beautiful fresh fruits, a bottle of wine, and appetizers. The view from our room and our private pool was amazing!!!

Everyone at this hotel treats you like royalty. I’ve never felt more welcomed anywhere in my life. Best hotel in the world. The views were second to none and the food was top tier. Anything you need? You got it. No matter what it is. The general manager Marco was also very kind and helpful giving us advice for our trip to Bangkok. 20/10!!!

The location and views are absolutely breathtaking. The villas are spacious, luxurious, and offer spectacular panoramic views of the ocean and nearby islands. The private pool in the villa was a highlight and made our stay feel truly special. However, the service did not meet the standards expected from a 5-star hotel. The restaurants served good-quality food. In summary, Conrad Koh Samui offers a stunning and serene setting with luxurious accommodations, but the service needs refinement to match the level of its breathtaking surroundings. With improvements, this resort could easily be among the best.

I recently stayed at the Conrad Hotel, and it was an absolutely divine experience! The place is incredibly relaxing, comfortable, and impeccably clean. The villa provided the perfect sanctuary for rest and rejuvenation. The food was delicious, offering a wide variety of dishes to suit every palate, and all the facilities were truly amazing. The staff were exceptionally nice and professional, making the stay even more enjoyable. I’d like to give a special mention to “Ni”, who went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. I highly recommend staying at this hotel—you won’t regret it
