Kowloon Shangri-La, Hong Kong

This is my second visit to the Shangri-La Hotel. The pleasant memories at that time made me choose the Shangri-La Hotel again as a place to stay for my first trip to Hong Kong in a long time. The stay at the Shangri-La Hotel was very satisfying from day one. Amber Lee, who helped me with the check-in, let me know that my choice for the Shangri-La Hotel was not wrong. She was not only kind, but also congratulated us on our anniversary, so we were able to leave happy memories. I especially recommend the Harborview room with a large window over Hong Kong Island, and I would like to recommend the Kowloon Shangri-La Hotel because it has a spacious room condition and stable service for all staff compared to other Hong Kong hotels. It is also a convenient location to use public transportation.

We had a wonderful stay at Kowloon Shangri-La. The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was clean and comfortable, and the amenities were great. The location was also very convenient, walking distance to Avenue of Stars, MTR and shopping mall. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others and look forward to staying here again in the future.

We stayed here for 3 nights and took 2 rooms for family dtay with kids. I consider this hotel as the best option for staying in this region, especially for Indian families. Rooms are spacious and offer a splendid view of Victoria Harbor. Hospitality is excellent, All staff are very courteous and supportive. Breakfast has multiple options for Indian vegetarian food. We had an emergency situation with one of the kids in the room, duty manager, and concerned in charge provided immediate support. Location of hotel is also very good, Next to East Tsim sha sui MTR Station. Strongly recommend this hotel for stay in this area.

My family and I stayed at the Deluxe King Harbour view room in November 2024 and I’m so glad we chose this accommodation over the many other options in the area. We had emailed the hotel in advance about arriving early and if it was possible to do an early check-in. We also let them know that we will be celebrating a very special anniversary. Not only did the hotel accommodate a super early check-in (7am), they also decorated the room with the most beautiful and welcoming reception. They had balloons put up that said “Congrats – you made it”, bouquet of flowers, a small stuffed animal for my 4yr old son, and a card with a very sweet message. It was so thoughtful and it was a great start to our journey in Hong Kong. Location: walkable to the hustle & bustle of Tsim Tsa Tsui area but distant enough to allow for breathing room, particularly across the beautiful Victoria harbor. The pier to get onto the ferry to cross the harbor is just across the hotel. Note that the hotel is connected to the bridge that takes you across Nathan Road to get to the pier. Food: buffet breakfast was great. They offered international cuisines with many options. There were also plenty of made-to-order items. The dimsum selection was small and given the reputation of dimsum in HK, I wished they had more options. Service: all the staff members we encountered were extremely friendly and helpful. No issue communicating in English. Concierge helped us negotiate taxi fare when we wanted to go to Ngong Ping and airport – this was much appreciated! Room: a view of the harbor is a must if you’re staying! The view of the sunrise and lights from the buildings across the harbor at night is just picturesque of what you expect HK to look like. The room was clean and spacious. They had binoculars in the room, which was a nice surprise and my son loved to use it to look out the window to the other side of the harbor. Overall an amazing stay and we’ll be returning to this hotel when we visit HK again in the near future.

We stayed for two nights post cruise to see something of Hong Kong, the Shangi-La was perfect in both location and facilities. The staff were exceptional, particularly in the Horizon Club where we were catered for brilliantly - especially Wing who made it her business to make our stay special, thank you all, hope to see you again soon.
