The hotel: I've always wanted to stay at this hotel. I've been to Las Vegas numerous times, but this was my first at the Cosmo. It did not disappoint. The lobby is not complicated to get to when dropped-off. Check-in fortunately was mostly a breeze. Staff were helpful in answering questions and providing hotel details. I shared a two-bed room with my mom on this trip. The room is nicely sized. Upon initially entering the room, there was a bad odor, but housekeeping promptly arrived and tried to rectify the issue. I expected some more "artsy" decor in the room, but that was minor. The showstopper was definitely the balcony! I loved being able to sit outside and observe the city lights. The only real blemish in my experience was checking-out. I waited close to an hour to ensure my bill was settled before leaving. Food & Beverage: There is so much variety in food and drink here. The room service menu has tons of options for those who opt to stay in. Service didn't take too long. I highly recommend checking out Block 16 instead. This was a lovely food hall with many dining options, catering to breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The Chandelier bar was also fantastic. Great cocktails and relaxing vibe. The location: Great location to many spots on the strip. There is a very convenient walkway located inside the hotel that connects to the Aria/Vdara and Bellagio. I utilized this many times during the trip. Summary: + Balcony! + Good food options at a variety of price points - Checking out took a while

The Cosmopolitan is one of the finest hotels at the Strip in Las Vegas with probably the best location at the strip. The hotel is modern with great dining options and a casino. The concierge Eric was excellent. The highlight is the walkway to the bellagio, Aria and Vdara. You also get to see the Bellagio fountains from your room.

Love love love this hotel! From the minute we walked up to check in, it was amazing. We got a great room, with an amazing view of the fountain. It was not working at that time, but it did not change the fact that the view was still nice. Hubby and I, we had some wine and enjoyed the balcony. Got to try some of the food options in the hotel as well. We had a bit of a problem on picking a place. They have so many options. It can be expensive, but it’s Vegas Baby, we all come to have good time. So, we shared a few things to try more options. Even the check out was great. It was fast, and smooth. Definitely will try to come back.

We spent a two-nights, mid-week, We're Marriott loyalists, and infrequent Vegas visitors. Overall, this is a very nice property. Per others' reviews, Marriott loyalty doesn't provide much for perks--certainly less than at a Marriott property. That said, Cosmo delivered what was advertised when we booked; no more and no less. We booked a fountain view terrace room, and were in the Boulevard Tower. Pro's: - We found the room large, clean, and modern. The balcony is nice (probably much nicer during warmer weather). We also appreciated the second mini-fridge so that we could keep some cold drinks. - For us, a truly great location. Very central to the Strip. We liked proximity to Miracle Miles Shops, so that when we tired of resort priced food, we had some options nearby. Walgreens across the street for pre-game materials is handy too. - While quite large, it is not quite so overwhelmingly large as many Strip properties. For us, that's a plus. A bit of room to improve: - So this is where we think Marriott status (Titanium) could be worth more than just the points. If one wishes early check-in, we found the desk very firm on $50. So that means the room was available. We noted we would not be using late check out and sought to "trade" that perk for a couple hours on the front end. To use a Vegas phrase "no dice." - The resort fee is transparent at booking. Our critique is the resort fee concept remains insulting to guests, and apparently exists solely so that points stays end up paying cash. (We were on a paid stay, not points). Just add the price to the room. At least in December when it is not pool weather, there really isn't anything attributable to a "resort" that you obtain for the fee. Other notes: - The fountain show at Bellagio runs about 2.5 minutes. Decide if that is worth a bit more for a room. (Currently the sidewalk in front of Bellagio is closed to the public). - There was a bit of noise from The Strip, but not enough to impact our sleep. - Not our style, yet for fancy dress-up people, there are some pretty cool bars and restaurants on the property. We'll definitely give Cosmo a look for our next trip. Not quite a slam dunk, yet on the short list
