The Chesterfield Mayfair

We went to the Sweetshop Afternoon Tea at the Chesterfield Mayfair. It was an absolute delight, my girls are aged 5 and 8 and they had a ball. The tea is delicious but unlike a traditional tea it has a sort of Willy Wonka like creativity to adds a really fun dimension. You get to take home a bag of sweets too, which was delightful. The staff were absolute gems and made us feel welcome, relaxed and reallly spoiled. I know my girls would absolutely love to go again, they haven't stopped talking about what a fabulous time they had. If you are in London with children and you want to do afternoon tea with a twist, I really cannot recommend it highly enough.

We held our 55th wedding anniversary for 40 guests at The Chesterfield in Mayfair last weekend. We cannot speak highly enough of the service, chef and barman who paid special attention to our every need. The menu was fabulous, with 40 chocolate soufflé being served were a triumph. We will be back!

The worst mattress in 30 years of European travel - thin and broken down. Also, a small and uncomfortably tight bathroom. Trash was not removed from room for two days, even though beds were made and towels replaced. Did not expect it as this price point. Nice location, nice breakfast and nice staff. The breakfast staff are a really good group - thank you.

We brought our nine year old granddaughter for tea as a treat for her birthday. It was absolutely amazing. I have visited many tea venues in London and this was definitely up there with the best. The food was exceptional and the wonderful staff made it tremendous fun for our granddaughter. I won't reveal too many details of the treats as it will destroy the surprise value but it was just so much fun. A special thanks to the Madelena who served us. We will definitely return.

Absolutely fantastic stay at The Chesterfield. The hotel’s location was a highlight, given fantastic restaurants and bars that are tucked in the alley around the corner. Bus and metro lines were just a short walk away. I stayed here for over a week, on a work trip, and the service made my day, every day. From prompt and delicious room service, to being greeted warmly upon each arrival, to helpful staff who helped hail taxis (sometimes at ungodly hour), all of this sets Chesterfield apart from the other pretentious Mayfair hotel picks. The room, while on the smaller side, still had an extremely comfortable bed and tons of closet/drawer space. The decor of the room, and the hotel overall, held so much character. I appreciated that the design details were period relevant to the building. The bathrooms are a bit inaccessible for those with mobility issues, given how high the tubs are and I hope as Chesterfield continues on they can renovate this issue. It would not deter me from returning. Thank you CM for making a work trip comfortable and memorable. Hope to see you soon :)
