One of London's best-kept secrets, the Connaught nestles in the heart of fashionable Mayfair in an area of charming antique shops, galleries, and designer boutiques. Built in 1897, this member of Maybourne Hotel Group preserves an air of Edwardian elegance that promises an experience that can be compared to a stay in an English country manor. One of the world's most distinguished addresses has recently undergone a multi-million dollar restoration that has brought the hotel well and truly into the 21st century, while still preserving the elegance so beloved of its guests. An effortless blending of original art and antiques alongside the latest in modern facilities, high levels of service, and fine cuisine serve illustrate why this is the hotel of choice for many.

A family tradition The Pantomime and afternoon tea this year we chose The Connaught. From the moment we walked in to the minute we left it was very average and under whelming. A table of 8 grown ups and children. Tea was boring sandwiches nondiscript and cake awful. Did not really cater for children left feeling disappointed. Will not be returning and certainly not a magical experience for an 8 and 11 year old sadly

Having read previous reviews and viewed hotel pictures I realise that as walk ins we were shown to a different part of the hotel. Staff were efficient yet impersonal, decor was dreary food was OK, London hospitality is generally much better than this, for the amount charged you can get so much better elsewhere.A very average experience

The magic of this place lies in its ability to feel both grand and intimate simultaneously. From the expertly crafted cocktails at the bar to the sumptuous bedding that made every night's sleep perfect, everything exuded quality. The concierge team went above and beyond with their local recommendations, and the housekeeping staff's attention to detail was simply extraordinary.

Treated ourselves to a festive afternoon tea during a recent visit to London. Beautiful hotel and looked lovely decked out in its festive decor. Staff are very friendly and efficient. Vegetarian afternoon tea was very tasty and the dinky cakes were beautiful. Nice selection of sandwiches, light fluffy scones and the patisserie work is to be commended. A glass of bubbly and unlimited tea/coffee was very welcome. We felt thoroughly spoiled and it was a lovely way to spend an afternoon.

"My wife and I just returned from England. We purchased the Lygon Arms/Connaught package from Luxury Link.
I wanted to let you know that everything was provided as promised. Our suites at both The Lygon Arms and The Connaught were truly outstanding. In fact, our suite in London was perhaps one of the finest accommodations that we have ever experienced anywhere in the world."

"The Connaught was the best hotel experience, in years of travel, topping every world-wide luxury lodging in all respects. Given that we are 'road warriors' who travel the globe frequently, staying at the best hotels, this is a huge accolade. We never want to stay anywhere else! From the initial welcome, all the service from General Manager Anthony Lee's team was memorable. Our suite was the ultimate in luxury with a bed of perfection. The butler and staff were helpful, anticipating our every need. The Dining Room and Grill Room decors are fresh from a Nina Campbell makeover, with a new Gordon Ramsey protégé in charge, orchestrating the dining experience, which is all the rage of the London food scene. Every ingredient in every meal was special, from breakfast to tea and dinner, all including superb professional service. That this unique combination of comfort and style with such new-trend dining is available in such a historic environment is a testament to Mr. Lee. We are glad to know that this level of hotel experience still exists in today's world. We are eager to return and hopefully establish a corporate account at The Connaught for future business travel!"
