With the flair of a private European club and the charm of an Old World mansion, The Kensington Hotel is a classic but contemporary luxury hotel in one of London's most exclusive neighborhoods. This exclusive retreat rests gracefully among London's most respected museums and enticing shopping venues, all an easy walking distance for hotel guests. Visit the Natural History Museum in the morning, and spend a lavish afternoon at Harrods - all with plenty of time to be back in your room for a relaxing soak in a marvelously Victorian-designed bath. Your senses will be delighted by rich textures, details and forms on the fabrics, as well as authentic period furniture. Guest rooms also feature bay windows, fireplaces, wood floors and original artwork.

Well I realised that I have been coming to The Kensington for over 10 years at least....and I never think of another hotel to book when I come to London. This second home has always evolved and yet keeps the touch of their commitment to service. I enjoy seeing the same and new faces, the rooms have been renovated, love the decor made it so pleasant to stay. GREAT area and quite quiet given it is central London! Thank you all the team - Anju, Harvey, Ronnie and all those who have over the years created such a homecoming atmosphere!

From the warm welcome on arrival we knew this would be a good stay. The Kensington is an upmarket, luxury hotel, within walking distance of the Natural History Museum and the V&A. The public areas are comfy and cosy with several corners to sit and relax in. The K Bar is a lovely, dimly-lit bar with knowledgeable bar staff who can make almost any drink you desire. Their website wine list stated several non-alcoholic wines should be available but they sadly weren’t. However, Stefano went out of his way to make me a ‘Bright and Stormy’! The room was spacious, luxurious and well appointed. Daisy on Reception was very friendly and helpful too. Breakfast was tasty with a wide range of dishes to choose from - the coconut yoghurt was delicious! Be aware that there is an additional 5% charge added to any activity carried out for you by a member of staff, but this is discretionary. We would definitely stay at this hotel again.

My wife and I stayed at The Kensington for two weeks over Christmas and New Year 2024/25 and thoroughly enjoyed every moment in this warm, friendly and upscale hotel. The location in South Kensington is perfect for the museums and nearby tube station, making access to central London attractions easy while being away from the noise and congestion of the city center. Our room was large and immaculate with room and turn-down service every day, and plenty of closet and shelf space. We had breakfast, afternoon tea, bar snacks and Christmas Dinner during our stay, all of which were excellent. The staff are so friendly, professional and accommodating we felt part of a large family over the Holidays and the Christmas decorations, warm fireplaces and surprise gifts on Christmas Eve and the day itself made the entire experience very special. Our special thanks go to Jervi and Daisy in reception; Emiliano, Arman and George at the concierge desk; Daniela and Chandan in the restaurant; Antonio, Adi and Krish in the bar; hostesses Zainab and Idil in the lounge; and Mario at the door. You all made our trip very special and we will definitely stay here again whenever we are in London.

I can’t say enough good things about The Kensington - from the amazing & attentive staff, to the cozy & well appointed lobby area, and the beautiful, comfortable rooms. This was my first time staying at The Kensington and my daughter’s second. The entire experience truly felt like being a guest in someone’s large, gorgeous home instead of a hotel. - The staff and service though is what really sets The Kensington apart - shout outs to Ali at the front desk, Kathleen from room service, Ronnie, Klaus the hotel manager, and especially Thomas from Guest Relations who went above & beyond to make my birthday extra special with surprise treats and beautiful flowers in our room. - thank you so much to the entire Kensington team for making our London trip truly memorable!
