The Langham, London

WARNING if you have allergies or diet requirements DO NOT book this hotel. My daughter booked it for Mother’s Day afternoon tea and after confirming on the telephone and followed up via their WhatsApp we were shocked that less than 48 hrs before our booking they cancelled saying the head Chef was unable to fulfil our dietary requirements. Luckily one of their competitors obliged immediately with not a problem at all and made us the most fabulous tea allowing for my daughters allergies and making everything safe and not making her feel like she was a nuisance. To top this bad experience The Langham proceeded to take £240.00 from her account for tea that they cancelled. It then took 2 days after persistent calling to eventually get a refund. It is very sad that in this day and age a hotel of this calibre cannot cope with dietary requirements. I have never written a review before but felt it was important for this to be highlighted.

The Langham London is an amazing hotel , with a wonderful staff. The service was fantastic and we can't wait to go back.

Beautiful experience celebrating my husband's milestone birthday. We enjoyed every moment and thanks to the staff this is like a home away from home. You are welcomed like family. Thanks Lina, Olia, Luis, Benny to name a few amazing staff members. Looking forward to a return visit!

I booked the Langham via a travel agency that has access to Virtuoso programme. I could get benefits like early check in, late check out, free daily breakfast, room upgrade to next category, and $100 dining credit (£84.5). Overall staying experience was excellent. Staff members were saying hello to every guests. Dining experiences were great. I could feel fresh and good quality of ingredients. Staff members were attentive, polite, and took care of customers thoroughly. I have taken part in a history tour of the Langham hosted by Zabrina. She illustrated history of the property and interesting trivias. I have had a wonderful walkthrough trip at the Langham. Activities differenciate the Langham in a competitive luxury hotel scene in London.

At the end of our trip to the UK we completed it at the Langham London. We had stopped in its sister hotel in Sydney in February so we thought we would give this a try. It's much bigger than Sydney, it's absolutely a five star establishment. It has a more formal feel than Sydney. We booked though AMEX travel and as usual it did not disappoint from initial check in to check out every thing was first rate. The room was very well appointed and comfortable with a great bathroom and plenty of hanging space.
