The Rubens at the Palace is the closest you'll get to a sleepover with the Queen without a state visit invitation. The hotel is directly across from the royal residence on property that enjoys a colorful past – the Duke of Buckingham lived here in the 1600s, followed by an apothecary and a Court dressmaker. The Rubens, which was built in 1912, housed the Polish army during WWII and gave respite to exiled Charles de Gaulle. The hotel's decadent – and often equally colorful – rooms and suites are a comfortable home base in the epicenter of London.

This is my third stay at The Reuben’s in the last year and it was wonderful as always. From the minute you are greeted by the wonderful Pascal and the door is opened you feel so welcome. Rosie on reception checked us in with a warm smile and made the process so effortless. A special mention must go to Charlie for looking after us so well as always. The hotel was beautifully decorated for the festive season. Rooms are tastefully decorated each one having its own unique style. In the bar had the best Cosmopolitan ever! The Reuben’s is perfectly located to take in all the sights and shops. London is particularly beautiful at Christmas. I highly recommend the hotel and would not stay anywhere else in London. Thank you Reuben’s.

Easily the best hotel I've stayed at in London. I travel a lot for work but the Ruben's stands out for the quality of service and staff above all else. If you want a corporate box hotel with a gym and pool then it's not for you. But for a great hotel, with comfortable beds (the pillows are amazing) and above all the welcome from the whole team it can't be beaten. Thoroughly refined if your in Central London.

We had the pleasure of spending the evening of our wedding at Ruben’s at the Palace, and I cannot praise them enough! From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly welcoming, knew us by name, and made us feel so special. It was clear that nothing was too much trouble for them. The personal touches are what truly set Ruben’s apart. They go above and beyond, so much so that it felt like a home away from home. To our surprise and delight, they even arranged for a beautiful cake in our room to mark the occasion xxx The atmosphere is warm and inviting, the service impeccable, and the team genuinely cared about making our evening unforgettable. It was the perfect start to married life, and we will always treasure the memories made there. If you’re looking for somewhere that combines elegance with exceptional hospitality, look no further than Ruben’s at the Palace. They will make your stay truly magical.

Had the best three days in London celebrating my Aunties 80th birthday. We stayed at the Ruebens for 2 nights. This was our second visit and they never disappoint. The rooms are beautiful with comfortable beds. The staff are very attentive. Had some lovely conversations with Frank in the bar. He has been there for 23 years. JT who was there to help with our luggage (sorry I've forgotten other names...I will do better to remember next time!) Thanks for a lovely stay. See you all in 2025!!

Looking for a really good afternoon tea, you found the place. They have a well assorted menu, where it's possible to switch tea, depending on if you're eating salty or savory. Finger sandwiches were really good and high quality. Nice scones with homemade jam. The pastries also had a high standard, except 1, which had a soggy biscuit bottom. Unfortunately, you only have the table 2 hours, which is not enough time if you want to enjoy and chat.

I just returned from an amazing 6 nights at The Rubens. My trip was for business and at the last minute, I had to bring my baby along. This worried me greatly, but thanks to the wonderful staff of the hotel, my week went off without a hitch. The staff couldn't have been any kinder, more helpful, or professional. From the moment we arrived, special attention was paid to the baby and any assistance I needed. There is no doubt that I will be returning to this hotel. It has won a special place in my heart.

Our package at the Rubens at the Palace let my mother and me live like a queen. From the flowers in the room, the beautiful suite, the daily high tea, the staff - everything was a deluxe vacation opportunity. My previous vacations to London pale in comparison to this experience.

I stayed at the hotel and found it to be delightful. It was a good, central location with comfortable, well-appointed rooms. The staff was outstanding, and the food was quite good. I would definitely stay there again!

I can't say enough about the amazing service at the hotel. Everyone was so friendly and helpful whenever we had questions or needed help. The concierge was wonderful and went out of his way to come check on us and see how our day our was turning out. It made us feel very welcome and almost like family! The room was very comfortable, the food in the bar was great, service was amazing. We'll stay here again!
