Really disappointed with afternoon tea after having such high expectations & never been to the savoy we was so looking forward to it! The gallery is a beautiful room but we were a little forgotten. Had to ask for milk twice & when it finally arrived the tea was no longer hot! Had to ask for champagne twice, appreciate it’s December but not what you expect when you’re paying £350 for some fingers sandwiches & pot of tea!!! Needed more staff & we felt rushed by the waiter whose English wasn’t so clear. The afternoon tea was v good but definitely wasn’t wowed. Had better at other 5* hotels. The staff in the clock room were really lovely and cheerful but otherwise felt snooty and dated. Such a shame that this will be the first and last visit to the savoy! Afternoon tea for 2 with 2 glasses of champagne each + service = £350

We enjoyed a set menu festive lunch in the Grill. A choice of three options at £65 for three courses . The service was friendly and efficient. The cauli tart was delicious. The surroundings are beautiful. Would recommend a visit. This venue obviously does a roaring trade, so bustling!

We thought we wood return after not visiting for a few years, usually go to The Ritz Christmas decorations a bit OTT Room nice if a bit small, bath difficult to get out off as it’s also small! Appreciated the free mini bar and also tea and coffee facility Breakfast was nice , sausage very good, toast poor as it didn’t seem toasted! Overall I can only rate our experience as average, it’s just not as good as The Ritz which is a great 5 star experience, sorry

We had an Afternoon High Tea on Saturday 14th December. The whole experience was very enjoyable and even more so due to the attention we received throughout from our table waitress, Emma. There was plenty of food and Emma was charismatic and attentive through the afternoon.

Wow, wow and wow! Staying at the Savoy isn’t just an experience; it’s a feeling, and unforgettable escape. I took my mum for her 60th and we were nothing short of blown away by the service, the room, the food, the amenities- just all of it! Firstly, we had the pleasure of being looked after by Ben for the duration of our stay, who was a breath of fresh air and smelled absolutely divine (sorry if we made you blush!). His customer service was impeccable, and we had flowers and balloons in the room which the Savoy had kindly got ready for us early due to arriving slightly earlier for a matinee performance. We drove up to the door and were greeted by extremely smart and friendly doormen who took my car keys and then said they would sort all our luggage and take straight to the room. We then enjoyed some champagne in the reading room, which was some of the best I’ve had with complimentary nibbles. We had food at the grill which was also next to none. The best part was when we returned from dinner someone had tidied up in between time, laid out all our toiletries and makeup neatly, slippers on white linen next to the bed, and even left some face cream on the bed to try (What a treat- we had only been out two hours!) The room was absolutely stunning, palacious bathroom with a claw foot bath and his and hers sinks. The bed was so comfortable and the pillows were so good we have even brought our own from their suppliers since returning home!! A great array of mini-bar drinks and coffees as well as slippers, a hairdryer, iron and ironing board, moisturiser, shampoo, shower gel, conditioner, robes and even an umbrella should you need to use it. The Savoy really had thought about everything. But what was the real star of the show was the breakfast. On the evening, we simply hung up our order on the door and what time we wanted it from the huge choice of breakfast options and at 10am prompt, we were greeted with a silver service breakfast straight to our hotel door, with extra hot beverages and pastries. It really was the best breakfast I have ever had and all from the comfort of our room. My mum had the Savoy Breakfast and I had the breakfast sandwich with the most incredible tomato and bacon jam with caramelised onion that I have ever tasted. High quality ingredients and freshly squeezed juices. Checking out was a breeze, we simply left our luggage in the room and all was taken care for with our car and keys returned to us when requested. I simply cannot fault a single thing about our stay and we will be excited to return at the earliest opportunity. Thank you to all the staff for the exceptional service provided and for making my Mum’s birthday the best she has ever had.
