Located on the River Thames near Covent Garden, in the heart of the city's exciting theatre district, you will find The Savoy. With its central London location this hotel offers an amazing blend of restored Art Deco and Edwardian style. Featuring either English Edwardian or Art Deco designs, each room is as comfortable as it is elegant. Silk wall coverings, marble floors, and plush Italian linens are perfectly-lit by glass chandeliers from Murano, while large picture windows offer sweeping city and river views. Refresh yourself with an invigorating rain shower, or recline in your comfortable living space, soaking in the tranquil atmosphere of the hotel. At The Savoy you will enjoy the storied history and dynamic scenes of the city, with all the comforts and features of modern city living.

I booked two nights at The Savoy as a treat for my birthday, staying in room 749 which is a Superior Queen room with a view over the driveway/approach from The Strand. Overall I had a lovely time. The staff were friendly (Arthur who checked me in on Friday was especially helpful and polite), the room was a good size with great amenities, complimentary mini bar, comfortable linens, lovely fully equipped bathroom - but there’s a handful of things I expected to be better given the hotel reputation and the price tag; - the TV in the room is lower spec than expected, there’s no streaming apps or playback services and the cast function for sharing from my phone didn’t work. I didn’t expect to have to use my little phone screen to catch up on The Traitors whilst staying at a 5* hotel. For comparison Premier Inns have streaming app access on their in-room TVs. - The room service dinner and breakfast weren’t mind blowing, small expensive portions and not very flavourful. The £5 room delivery fee is crazy especially considering the price of the food. It’s cheaper to get a deliveroo from 5 miles away than it is to get hotel food from 3 floors below. With the service charge on top as well, it feels like an unnecessary charge. - The staff member who came to collect my room service dinner trolley around 23:15 on Friday night didn’t know how to collapse it, so he left and said someone from the room service team would be up in 2 mins to help. 30 mins went by and no one came so I collapsed it myself and left it outside the door so that I could get to bed. The trolley was still there in the morning so it seems no-one came at all. - The napkins on the breakfast room service were stained. - No toilet brush in the room bathroom. - Everything was set up for two ie room service, turndown, and I was staying alone. This didn’t feel particularly attentive. While I’m content travelling alone someone else might have found it upsetting to be presented with a set up for two as a solo person. For the price paid I did expect to be fully satisfied, and unfortunately I wasn’t on this occasion. Whilst it was a nice experience I probably will not be returning.

Really enjoyed the stay, staff were great especially Ben, who was an absolute delight.Loved a couple of hours in the American Bar, our room was lovely and so quiet, not a great view. Breakfast was a little disappointing, not piping hot, my bacon looked terrible, but again the staff were superb. Shame about the breakfast but staff took it up a notch.

I have been staying at the Savoy for over 30 years. I stopped staying here about 10 years or so ago after their transition to Fairmont as I found that their service in general became rather ordinary like what you may expect at a chain marriott type hotel. At this visit I was especially pleased with the concierge, Jonathan, who was able to procure tickets for me to the sold out “Monet in London” exhibit at the last minute. I really enjoyed my very bright river front room facing the scenes Monet had painted decades ago. My late night dinner after the Opera at the Gordon Ramsey Savoy Grill was simply divine. One area of improvement I would recommend to the hotel is to better train their checkin staff. I found that they lacked even very basic information like answering what services the butler I had been assigned provided. I realize that they are not the concierge, but not knowing simple things like location of the National Gallery, that is quite unacceptable since it is practically a couple of blocks away.

I spend a 2 night stay at the Savoy to celebrate my wife’s birthday, the hotel staff and facilities are excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I highly recommend the Arnold Bennet omelette for breakfast, very tasty The only gripe that we had with our stay is the in room toiletries, they are limited to shower hell and conditioner, and unlike other 5 star hotels we have stayed in around the world they are kept in ‘captive dispensers’ like a Travel Lodge instead of individual bottles, which we felt was not in keeping with a 5 star hotel. We will gladly recommend this hotel, it is very well located and extremely convenient to walk to most if not all Theatres

My New Year's Resolution this year is to try to surround myself with people who spread positivity, give me hope and make me laugh and smile. I'm off to a great start because my sons and I rang in 2025 at the Savoy hotel in London. My boys and I have spent the last few years celebrating the start of the year at The Savoy. Nothing beats The Savoy. Everything about the hotel is IMPECCABLE...and I mean everything. The moment you approach the front door you are greeted with smiles and a warm "Cheerio and Welcome". The check in always goes smoothly and the front of the house folks are friendly and helpful. The beautiful guest rooms are comfortable and spotless. The lobby and common areas are stunningly decorated, warm and inviting. The restaurants and bars have top-notch service and delicious food and drink. The spa has the most luxurious swimming pool and the gym is very well-equipped. The Concierge team is top notch, the best I have ever worked with - they are always so willing to give fabulous advice/make reservations for restaurants and things to do in London, and they are able to get tickets to events, theater and, in our case, lots of soccer games (and they have fun banter with us on our soccer teams, which makes us laugh). Last but not least, the whole Savoy crew is IMPECCABLE - every one of whom is friendly, helpful and made our stay perfect, as they do every year. We have built personal relationships with the people at the Savoy, many of whom we now consider our friends! One more thing...location, location, location. When you exit the front door of the hotel you are a stone's throw from Covent Gardens. When you leave through the back door you are on the Thames. We walked everywhere because The Savoy is optimally located (walking distance) for so many London attractions. We can't wait to ring in 2026 at our favorite hotel with our favorite people!
