Designer Philippe Starck conceived St Martins Lane London as a surrealist wonderland viewed through the looking glass of classic British eccentric taste. Cheeky and daring with a touch decadent, the lobby and social spaces are signature Starck style. It’s fitting that the hotel is situated in the bustling theatre district in Covent Garden - it is pure drama. Just ask the garden gnomes; this is classic London with a seriously seductive twist. Floor-to-ceiling windows at St Martins Lane pull the cityscape into each guest room, offering a dramatic perspective on the energetic city below. The Tim Andreas of Banjo design rooms evoke a sense of spaciousness and luxury by using a mix of both naturally inspired and modern materials. The overall effect is an ethereal, yet sensuous experience.

My husband and I came to London for a short trip. Went here for a quick dinner. Our waiter was Manuel and he was super kind, professional and polite! Food was tasty, I had octopus and chicken, and my husband had chicken pate and brioche. Overall, everything was just fine. Nice place!

Amazing hotel, staff cannot do enough for you. Frayer and Manuel in the restaurant were both amazing. Also Visar in reception could not do enough for us , very helpful and charming. Have stayed here many times, will continue to do so. Very central for every show and all attractions.

From the moment I stepped inside the hotel I was greeted by five smiling and warm members of the team. A wonderful gentleman named Visar asked me how he could help and I got the feeling he genuinely wanted to, it wasn’t just a routine question for him. I explained my slightly odd request that a client of mine who was staying at the hotel would like to host a couple of meetings at the hotel the following day and asked if this would this be possible. No sooner had I asked, when Visar immediately arranged for me to meet with Samantha from the meetings and events team who promptly arranged for my request to be met and couldn’t be more accommodating. Everything worked like clockwork and my team and I were taken care of brilliantly. When I arrived for the meetings the day afterwards, Visar remembered my name and greeted me like an old friend. You cannot put a price on true hospitality and warmth, and safe to say, if I ever need anything for clients or friends staying in London, I’ll be coming straight to this wonderful hotel. Thank you!

Afternoon Tea with Tales - what an unexpected, excellent, and surreal experience!! Our amazing waiter Manuel should be on the stage or screen - we ADORED our tour of secret parts of the hotel and features related to our festive tea (no problem that we shared one between three of us - it was exquisite and special). Worth every penny. Highly recommend…
