Reviews for Sumaq Machu Picchu Hotel

Nice hotel but…

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 days ago

It’s a very beautiful hotel, but the massage I received was far too basic. That’s why, for the benefit of the hotel, my suggestion would be to discontinue this service. It lowers the overall hotel category, and it's hard to believe that, for such a low return, the hotel would risk its reputation.

Exceptional and friendly service. Quality experience!!!

The check in process was easy and included a chilled tea and damp wash rag upon arrival. Classy. The room exceptionally appointed and we had a view. Robes and slippers are always a nice touch. We had two tours set at Macchu Pichu and Sumaq prepared a yummy vegetarian box lunch. Dinner was a tasty experience and Milagros very attentive and informed about the selections. At the end of our trip, our bags were delivered to the train station. What an overall wonderful experience!!!!!

Highly recommended!

The location of the hotel was absolutely beautiful - right on the river with beautiful views. But that is only the beginning. Once you walk into the hotel, you are greeted with impeccable attention to detail. The staff is more than accommodating, anticipating your needs. We had a group dinner that was over the top - a 6 course tasting menu with wine pairings. Each dish was innovative, artfully designed and delicious. Service was outstanding. George from the restaurant, was particularly attentive and friendly. Overall, great facility, friendly staff and delicious food.

Highly recommendable. Great selection of dishes, well presented, wine list up to par and friendly staff. Specially Milagros who took great care of us. You have to make reservations, as the restaurant caters to the hotel guests. Would come again!
