Gran Melia Fenix

We absolutely LOVED our stay for a 1 day layover in Madrid at the Gran Fenix Hotel. We were shocked by how amazing the service was. From the unexpected welcome amenity of delicious fresh fruit and typical Spanish cordial, to the beautiful turndown service and attentive doormen, we were so grateful after along flight to check in with this level of service. As for Gastronomy this hotel gets a 100/100! The bar menu was beautiful and we were happy to spend our evening there, and I cant speak highly enough about the breakfast spread. One of the best most luxurious breakfast spreads I have been to in Europe, competing VERY WELL with the Hotel Majestico in Barcelona's breakfast spread. My absolute favorite touch was the ability to request fresh Churros and chocolate from the world famous Chocolateria San Gines. This chocolateria was on our list of places to visit before leaving Madrid, but with such little time before needing to depart to Granada, we weren't able to go. The fact that this was offered, and we did not have to leave Madrid without trying the world famous chocolate and Churros we were SO GRATEFUL for. An amazing touch to an already elegant and luxurious breakfast spread. We will 100% be returning to the Hotel Gran Fenix the next time we are in Madrid. Absolutely worth the price. We had the absolute pleasure of staying at the Fénix Gran Meliá Hotel in Madrid, and we highly recommend it as ‘the best place to stay’ in Madrid. From the moment we arrived, the experience was exceptional in every way. The hotel's location is unbeatable—situated in the elegant Salamanca district, it is within walking distance of Madrid’s finest shopping and cultural attractions, yet still offers a quiet and boutique atmosphere. The service was truly five-star. Every member of the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and well cared for throughout our stay. Here we should specifically mention Silvia’s name as the best Guest Relations Manager we have seen ever; she is a true professional and very warm and welcoming. The rooms are very beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Breakfast at the hotel was a highlight: an exquisite spread with both international and local options, and even more important than that with the very beautiful decoration. Fénix Gran Meliá truly embodies the spirit of classic luxury with a modern touch. We have recommended the hotel to some of our friends already and will definitely come back again.

Fantastic hotel in the Salamanca area! Close to retiro park. Attentive staff - especially Yane in the RedLounge and Israel at the front door. They took such good care of us! Our room was fantastic, our dinner at the hotel was amazing with awesome service. We hope to be back!

What a five star experience. From the moment we checked in and the moment we checked out. We arrived early morning and they accommodated us by giving us a room on the six floor by 11 am. The lobby staff Antonio, Jean Paul and Santiago provided good tips on our stay. They were very helpful. The red floor provided great service. The breakfast was sumptuous with fresh fruits and pantries daily. The room was luxurious and treats were delightful. We can't wait to stay here again.

Magnificent reception team with Gemma the heart of this hotel ,she is the epitome of excellence goes above and beyond I hope the owners realise what a gem they have in Gemma , the ýoung man training with her was lovely. Micheal in the Balmoral bar superb the best, Fatima a close second. Borja is so accomplished at his job reads a room with proficiency, has a wonderful manner and so kind and welcoming. Africa an absolute joy so professional and courteous. The hotel is gorgeous so clean with lovely decor. The rooms are spotless, the beds so comfortable. Lovely buffet breakfast only wee negative coffee at breakfast. The porters were so attentive also. The young waiters at breakfast so polite.
