Excellent hotel, I've been here before when it was a Westin, now after the renovation it's even better. I stayed for two nights over Easter. The rooms and facilities are extremely comfortable and the service is almost impeccable. The breakfast is very good and I would like to give a special mention to Bar 27 and its outstanding staff.

We’re currently two nights into a four-night stay at The Palace, a Luxury Collection Hotel, and while there are highlights, a significant issue has marred our experience. Using Marriott Bonvoy nightly upgrades, we secured a stunning Cortés Suite, which is spacious, elegant, and beautifully appointed – a true luxury touch. The breakfast spread is exceptional, with a wide variety of fresh, high-quality options, and the service at breakfast is warm and attentive, making mornings a delight. However, this morning (Saturday), we were abruptly woken at 7 AM by a loud noise from the intercom system. As guests recovering from jet lag, this was incredibly disruptive. When we raised the issue with the front desk, we were told, “Please accept our sincere apologies for the disturbance caused by the intercom system this morning, the security team from the hotel were testing the speakers.” While I appreciate the apology, I find it unacceptable for a luxury hotel to conduct speaker tests at 7 AM on a weekend, especially without warning guests. This oversight impacted our rest and enjoyment. The staff have otherwise been professional, and the hotel’s historic charm is undeniable. We hope management addresses this to prevent future disturbances. I’ll update this review if the hotel takes steps to resolve our concerns during the remainder of our stay. For now, potential guests should be aware of possible early disruptions.

Amazing stay at this beautiful place! We spent 3 nights in mid April. Incredible staff, delicious food, magnificent decor, perfect location. Everyone went out of their way to make us feel welcomed and happy. Excellent restaurant recommendations, turn down service, plush bath robes, soft huge towels are just some of the little perks. There’s a very reasonably priced laundromat that’s just about a 3 minute walk from the hotel - Lavandería Cervantes. They washed and folded our laundry and had it ready same day. If you’re visiting Madrid, you’ll want to stay at this spectacular hotel!

The location is fantastic here. It’s a block to the Prado museum, botanical gardens, as well as Retiro park. As mentioned in many reviews, they have just completed a major renovation, and it is now branded as a “Luxury Collection” property. Accordingly, prices have gone up significantly since it was The Westin. The rooms are beautiful, and well appointed. We had a room overlooking the Neptune fountain. I had no issue with the room. It included a Nespresso coffee maker, mini-bar, and a very nice table seating area. I used the fitness center a few times during my three night stay. It’s on the 7th floor, and to access it- you have to change elevators twice, which is a bit awkward. I like the rooftop herb garden, with lavender, Rosemary, Thyme, and other herbs. The issue I had at this property occurred on the second night of my stay. I received a strange call at approximately seven PM. It was a man who said, “I need to enter your room to get a bag that housekeeping left behind.” I immediately said, “No. I do not feel comfortable with that, sorry.” This man did not identify himself as hotel staff, which I thought was very strange. Within the span of 30 minutes, two members of the staff- a woman from housekeeping and a man from security began knocking on my door to gain entrance. I saw them through the peep hole. I allowed them to enter the room, and they began searching my things, asking me if all of the items belonged to me. My traveling companion was on a city tour, so I told them some of the things belonged to the other person. They then said it was a bag of candy they were looking for. When I told them I wasn’t sure if that was a bag of candy belonging to my traveling companion- they left. I ended up taking up about two hours of my evening dealing with the issue with the front desk staff, who were very concerned and understanding The manager made some adjustments on my account, which was a great gesture- but I cannot understand how something like this could happen in a five star hotel. I suppose it was an isolated event, but nonetheless it left me with doubts about the property. As a lifetime Bonvoy Platinum member, I truly had higher expectations.

Beautiful grand hotel with excellent renovation. Room is excellent. Everything is new and beautifully appointed. Breakfast quality is poor however. Would recommend staying once to experience the history and grandeur. They would do well to improve their breakfast food and also include ala carte rather than keeping it as an extra add on that you pay for. Other hotels offer much nicer breakfasts

I just returned The Palace package that I purchased from Luxury Link. It was absolutely lovely. The room was marvelous and the people were so nice and helpful. I must say it was quite a buy. Thank you.

Just returned from 5 night stay in junior suite at Westin Palace Madrid. Breakfasts were excellent as was the dinner. The front desk was very helpful, room comfortable, spacious and well equipped with luxury bath and delightful bed. Service outstanding. Overall, a first class hotel in Madrid. Five nights was just the right amount of time to see Madrid and surrounding sights. This was an excellent value through LL.

My husband and I traveled to Madrid this year and had booked a room at the Westin Palace for three nights. They put us on the special VIP guest floor in a spacious deluxe room with a magnificent marble bathroom and view of the city. If that wasn't enough, they also included a sumptuous breakfast buffet!

The Westin Palace, Madrid, was grand and our accommodations pure luxury. And their dining room served the best roast lamb in town.

I can't say enough about the Westin Palace Hotel-Madrid in Spain. Everything was superb. The room was spacious and very comfortable. I thought that the service was first-rate. Throw in perfect weather like I had and you have the ultimate Madrid experience.
