The bed was so comfortable, and the staff made our stay feel very welcoming. It was our first time to CDMX, so we tried to do a lot during our stay. Coming back to Andaz at the end of the day was comforting and relaxing. We loved that the facility was dog-friendly, it made us miss our pups a little less :)

The staff is exceptionally friendly and attentive, making you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. The hotel prides itself on being inclusive, ensuring that all guests feel comfortable and valued. Additionally, the hotel’s location is ideal, with easy access to parks, cafes, and local attractions. Nice hotel, with nice patios and outdoor areas to sit. We were promptly greeted when we arrived and guided up the escalator to the check in area. Our room category was upgraded as a Hyatt Explorerist, but the room was still pretty small. In any case, it was clean and comfortable. We did use the turntable, which was a cute touch. The service during our stay was very good. The Wooftop had lots of dogs, and we only stayed for one drink. The rooftop pool was odd, as others have stated. 4 people were getting in as we arrived and it was not large enought to swim in. Location was great, just a few minutes walking to the Amsterdam loop and many good restaurants. Easy to get Ubers and there was a convenience store across the street. The noise in our room overnight was pretty bad, it definitely woke us up literally every hour of the night with multiple car alarms and other noise. I understand staying in a popular area in a huge city is going to be loud, however there are hotels that have soundproofing and it's completely quiet in the rooms. Bring earplugs. Overall, it was a very nice stay!

Sad to say that our hotel experience was a disappointment. From the moment we arrived, our check in experience was sub-par with other luxury hotels in the Hyatt network ; little effort was shown to welcome us onto the property, to provide basic information on the hotel amenities and the local area, and to accommodate our request (to pair two separate free night award bookings so as to stay in the same room - ultimately we had to ‘upgrade’ to a new floor in order to do this, though this deluxe room was significantly smaller than the standard one. Overall, the room is in need of refurbishments and upkeep / during both stays here, noise from the hallway and sounds reverberating through the walls were quite audible from within the room. The shower needed resealing as it leaked through the glass wall into the bathroom directly behind it. The bathroom sink was at such a high pressure that it sprayed into the bathroom floor and behind the backsplash onto the floor below. The stitching of the leather headboards were fraying. The pillows were thin and uncomfortable. Despite some good offerings (location, comfortable mattress, divinely scented soaps, and tasty welcome snacks), some important improvements need to be made to this property to have it on par with other luxury hotels available.

The Andaz is a beautiful hotel. When you walk in the outdoor lobby and bar area is gorgeous. The restaurant at the top of the hotel is very festive and the pool is fantastic! Service for drinks/food is excellent. We would definitely stay at this hotel again in the future.
