Perfect location for this hotel, less than a 5 minute walk to the Duomo. The roof top is awesome, great experience. If your room faces the street, you will hear the traffic down below. The bed is super hard, same with pillows. The breakfast is excellent, great selection in the morning. Mark at the front desk was awesome, he helped us with all of our requests and questions. He made our stay even more enjoyable.

Where to start , We arrived at around 11am to be told our room wasn’t ready and to come back at 2pm but they could look after our luggage for us , we expected this to be the case so no issues there, we explored the area and grabbed some lunch and headed back to the hotel around 2.30pm to a quite reception area which made check in quick and easy, we were told someone would bring our luggage to the room, great we thought ….. that’s where the positives end ……. We had booked a family room, however the sofa bed hadn’t been made up, no problem quick call to a rather rude receptionist had someone sorting the sofa-bed and providing bedding within 20mins. We had booked a tour for 5pm, thinking 2.5hrs to freshen up before heading out would be plenty of time, wrong, by 3.30pm (1hr) after checking in we still didn’t have our luggage, another call to reception to see where our luggage was , to be told someone will bring it , it finally arrived at 3.45pm , ok still just enough time for a quick freshen up to make our tour on time , then came the next problem , the shower didn’t work with the dials hanging off the wall , in goes the third call to reception , luckily maintenance were fairly quick to arrive without about 10mins, 15mins later and water all over the bathroom floor the shower was fixed and no they didn’t help clean up the mess , great just enough time for one of us to freshen up before having to take a very expensive taxi due to time, rather than the metro as planned . When leaving the room we also noticed our key cards had stopped working, due to time we decided to speak to reception when we returned later than evening. After our tour we arrived back appx 8:30pm and told reception the keys didn’t work, they checked and said nope they are fine, let me come to the room and try for you , and yep the key worked , however the receptionist opened our room door and closed it very quickly not allowing us access to the room or to see in , I asked what was wrong ? Then I heard a noise coming from the room so I asked if someone was in our room? To which the receptionist said they are straightening your room, odd I thought given we had only checked in 5hrs ago, we were then allowed in to find someone from housekeeping straightening the beds (which hadn’t been used yet), but had left a small bottle of champagne and fruit with a “with complements” note, housekeeping left and said “enjoy” ah lovely, we thought this was an apology for the sofa bed, luggage and shower issues, so we enjoyed the fruit and drank the small bottle of champagne and went to bed thinking all is “forgiven” and let’s move on . However just after 11pm that night my 15 year old son wakes me up to say there is a man at the door asking for the champagne back, half asleep I told my son to close and lock the door and tell the man I’ll speak to them in the morning , the man who i assume was from reception continued to ask my son for the champagne saying he didn’t care about the fruit he just wants the champagne , my son said speak to us in the morning and closed the door, now being fully awake I couldn’t believe the lack of service from this hotel, they made multiple mistakes , coming back in the evening to find people on our room and have the cheek to knock our door after 11pm, after this I couldn’t relax or feel comfortable in the hotel at all, every noise in the room I kept thinking is it someone letting themselves into the room. totally disgusting customer service and for this reason I’d never return to this hotel which is a shame as the hotel itself is lovely, breakfast was great, the rooftop bar has some amazing views and it is close to the metro so very handy for getting around Milan, but due to the customer service or lack of, I would not recommend. And I forgot to mention parts of the wardrobe kept falling off - large panels of wood which wasn’t great either

We stayed here for 3 nights. Will talk about the positives first. The location of this hotel is great - it is a few minutes' walk to Duomo and Galleria Vittorio Emanuele, and a little further down, the Brera District. Missori station is also just around the corner. The room we got was spacious for two people, and drinking water, slippers, and bathrobes were provided. Breakfast was good with quite a substantial spread. We asked for a takeaway pack on the morning we checked out to catch our train, and we got a bag each with lots of stuff (fruit juice, water, snacks, an apple). On to the negatives. We arrived in the morning after a very long flight and was told that the check in time was strict and no rooms were available. This was despite us booking with I Prefer (which comes with an early check-in). The staff at the reception were also not the friendliest. This however is not the reason for the low rating. On our first night, one bath towel had what looked like a poop stain. It was late at night and we decided to just share the clean towel. I passed the poop-stained towel personally to housekeeping and told them about it the same night. The poop-stained towel found its way back to us the next day after we came back from a day of sightseeing (what are the odds???). We shared the one clean bath towel again the second night. The next day in the morning before we left for sightseeing, I intentionally threw the poop-stained towel on the floor so that housekeeping would change it. I used a nicely folded towel that was on the rack that evening thinking all was good. Guess what? It was a poop-stained towel - I was so, so grossed out. Either (i) every other towel in this hotel has a poop stain; or (ii) housekeeping didn't change the towels (despite them being thrown on the bathroom floor). Go figure which is more likely. It is not that obvious in the picture I've uploaded here (due to lighting), but trust me, it was not a towel you'd want to use.

Great location, just a couple mins from the Duomo square on foot. The staff were all very welcoming. The rooms were modern, clean and very comfortable. Excellent shower and bathroom facilities, only slight comment would be that guests should take their own hairdryer as the one in our room was not great. The cooked elements of the breakfast were slim, but a great continental selection. Worth checking out the rooftop bar on a stay as the views were incredible.

I just spent two nights at The Square Milano Duomo, which has a great location that allowed us to walk easily to all our destinations. The rooms were spacious and well-appointed. However, I would have rated it four stars if it weren't for the disappointing service. Upon arrival, no one offered to help with our bags, and the check-in experience was lacking—staff were uncommunicative and unfriendly. Later that evening, when I returned to the front desk for directions, I found them unhelpful again. Unfortunately, this left a negative impression, and I’m uncertain if I would choose to stay here again, as the front desk really sets the tone for the hotel experience.
