On the corner of 9th and Hennepin in the heart of Minneapolis’s historic theater district, The Chambers Hotel takes center stage. Built in 1908, The Chambers has had a front-row seat to the legendary Orpheum Theatre’s groundbreaking performances, from the Marx Brothers’ vaudeville act to Prince’s hometown debut. Here at The Chambers, we, too, have a famous flair for the dramatic. Our 60 art-infused guestrooms and suites have walk-in rain showers, deep soaking tubs and sweeping views of vibrant downtown.

Although booked for a few nights to see the Vikings play, whilst moderately priced in conjunction with the location to the US Bank Stadium and a game day. the hotel, staff & breakfast failed to live cup to previous positive reviews, not only was a small portable heater supplied as part of the room's facilities, we had to ask for daily room service, as well as the whole hotel incl. our room was very cold. Whilst during our stay, the weather turned somewhat very cold (-10 with a -13 wind chill factor), the whole hotel was very cold, which included our room that seemingly couldn't go above around 18c degrees and the rest of the hotel being around 16c. When using the breakfast for the first of 3 mornings, the room which was a bar was ridiculously cold ! that seemingly had no heating or had never been turned on. The afro American receptionist seemed both miserable in attitude & expressions & when asking for anything like milk for a coffee, seemed like everything was an effort ! The room itself we had whilst extremely large in size (poorly designed with wasted space that could have been better utilised), had a constant water bubbling sounding when the Air Conditioning was turned on, and yet still blew cold !! IMHO I'd suggest looking elsewhere for accommodation & spending a few extra dollars where you're made to feel somewhat appreciated, as well as warmer in the winter months. The Hotel is extremely basic and cold in every sense. Suggest you look elsewhere depending on your budget

Loved the non-chain unique aesthetic art vibe of this classy stay. Stayed here to attend a theater show as it’s right near so many theaters. Our girls had a room so we opted for the Spotlight Suite so we had a living quarters to hang out in between events. The room and hotel had top notch furniture, decor, art, and amenities. Top of the line soaking tub, rainfall shower, and furnishings. We loved the huge private deck on the top floor off our room to watch downtown hustling and partying it up. Parking is super easy, secure, heated in next door parking garage at a very fair nominal rate. The best restaurants are literally across the street- best service, delicious eats with so many options to fit everyone’s diet preferences. Already looking forward to our next stay.

Stay was average. Stayed for 3 days, requested daily housekeeping as I was staying at a premium room. After the first night, no housekeeping, had to request towels, soap, etc. Second night had to request it. Soaking tub drain did not work, they could not fix right that day when called early morning. Breakfast is really bad.....except if you want coffee only. Appears hotel is way understaffed, especially when requesting replenishment for breakfast items. If you are expecting a decent breakfast this will be a disappointment. On the plus side, rooms were clean. Front desk was friendly.

I expected more from this hotel, but it was just average. It may be boutique in name, but the amenities are no better (perhaps subpar) to that of a Hilton like chain. Don’t count on the complimentary breakfast, and the rooms need some attention. But it was clean and the shower had good water pressure. Good for a quick trip in and out of town, but don’t expect anything too fancy.

My boyfriend debated staying in an airbnb but I finally convinced him to try the Chambers. Didn't regret it for a second!
