Rosewood Baha Mar, perched on a pristine stretch of Nassau’s gorgeous Cable Beach, is the very best of what The Bahamas has to offer with a soft atmosphere of refinement and sophistication. An exclusive sanctuary that combines British colonial charm with a variety of modern amenities and a contemporary beach cottage interior. The guestroom design further reflects the residential ambiance found on Harbor Island. A curated mix of furnishings and finishes add to the fresh, modern design, while feeling distinctly Bahamian. All accommodations have private balconies, furnished outdoor living areas and butlers. There are four dining venues at the property. The Library features afternoon tea, champagne, sweet and savory pastries, and desserts. The Rosewood Baha Mar also features Sense, a Rosewood Spa, and a fitness center.

I throughly enjoyed myself at Baha Mar’s Rosewood. The staff was so friendly and welcoming. When staying at the Rosewood be sure to ask for Jeremy and Ricarra. The staff made our birthday celebration an experience that will always be remembered. Shanecquer made sure our concierge services were fully met. Stacey coordinated transportation or any rescheduling of dinner reservations. Susan handle the family with hospitality every morning for the library continental breakfast. I can’t wait to visit the resort again. The best restaurants on the resort are Marcus’s Fish and Chop House, and Carna.

This is an offseason review where we had perfect weather. We loved the property, the beach, water park, pools, restaurant and bars. The only minor annoyance we had was realizing we had to pay for mini golf which was fun but seemed gratuitous. The staff was fantastic across the board. The food and drink prices are expensive as advertised, plus there’s the 15% service charge and 10% VAT so know what you’re getting into and make a plan. They have a Starbucks for breakfast with decent prices which id recommend bang for buck, and plenty of options for other meals. We loved it and the Rosewood is definitely the way to go if you have the budget because the private beach, upgraded beach chairs and service. Lastly the guys at the Manor bar were fantastic. All around a 10/10 for us. But with that said, I would not want to go during busy season, because I can see crowds and some cloudy weather affecting people stretching their budget.

Over the years, my family and I have been to the Bahamas many times, specifically, Atlantis. This time, my wife wanted to go to the Rosewood for her birthday. Rosewood, a five-star hotel, is far from it. Our room had difficulty with cooling, so we had maintenance come several times without change. Since it could not be fixed Ricardo informed us he would move us to a different room equal or nicer than the one we were in. When it came time to move us, we were downgraded to a horrible room. We received room credit for the difference between the rooms, but we had no interest in the credit. We wanted a nice room that had cool air during our time there. Additionally, they told us to go to dinner, and in the meantime they would take our luggage and move it to the new room. Our dinner lasted nearly three hours, and during the whole period, no one had found it important enough to follow through on their commitment to do what they promised. My family and I had to return to our old room and drag our luggage to our new room by ourselves. Little things can ruin your stay and that is what happened to us. Overall, if you stay at the Rosewood do not expect 5-star service

Where to start? Greeted as we pulled into the hotel as if they were expecting us. Always addressed by name anytime we spoke with concierge or front desk. Always helpful and polite. Loved the matching scarves they wore - so much so that I ordered some similar upon my return home. Room was clean and they paid attention to detail - housekeeping saw we were reading books so they left bookmarks! Saw I had reading glasses so they left a lens cleaning cloth. A little disappointed that turndown did not happen nightly - I wanted the chocolates :) yes food was expensive but that was to be expected. The few times we visited the pools we were the only guests at the pool which was nice - very relaxing. All attendants at the pool were courteous and helpful. We visited for a relaxing honeymoon and were not disappointed. The serene environment at Rosewood was exactly what we wanted! We walked the grounds of the other hotels at Rosewood and it was amazing how active and busy the other two hotels were - we made our way back to Rosewood quickly because it was as if we were miles away from the crowds. My husband played golf and said he was the only one on the course. After his round of golf they gave him an amazing cocktail that he loved. The bartender at Pizza Lab tried to replicate it for us and it was pretty close. The only negative I can say is we felt so spoiled that I’m worried future visits to other resorts/hotels will leave us disappointed because Rosewood set the bar high!

I had the worst experience ever. When we arrived, we had to wait more than four hours for our room. While waiting, a lady at the library café offered us tea and coffee. We sat down and waited for over an hour. She chose the tea flavors and served the drinks in paper to-go cups, without providing any further service. We assumed these were complimentary welcome drinks. However, the manager needed the table and kicked us out of the library. As we were leaving, a lady shouted, "Your check," which amounted to over $80 for four teas and two black coffees. This was outrageous. The next morning, our room lost power for over five hours, and the water was coming out dirty. Even after the power was restored, the water remained dirty for more than two hours, preventing us from taking a bath. We had to wash our faces and brush our teeth with bottled water, as if we were staying in a hotel in the middle of a jungle. Additionally, I had specifically mentioned that there would be two people staying in the room, but it was only prepared for one. When we requested another robe, slippers, water, and towel on the first night, a very rude lady from guest services replied, "We don't have any robes; we will deliver it in the morning," and hung up on me while I was still speaking. The rest of the requested items arrived two hours later, which was unbelievable. Every morning of our stay, we were woken up at 7 a.m. by an extremely annoying sound. When we asked about it, the response was, "Oh yes, that's the electric plant. It's normal," instead of offering an apology or a solution. My dad and siblings were staying in two different rooms, and they experienced the same issues, along with additional instances of extremely poor service. Aside from the bad service and terrible experience at the hotel, the restaurants were EXTREMELY expensive. I have never in my life paid $12 for a black coffee or $6 for a single egg. If you go, I highly recommend eating outside the hotel or buying groceries and beverages to keep in your room. In summary, I will never return to this hotel. I would rather spend the money renting an apartment or a catamaran.
