A very opulent hotel with echoes of the Raj all over it. 1930s art deco meets India! Prints and paintings everywhere draw attention to the history of India. Superb attention to detail in every aspect of the hotel. We were here at Christmas and the hotel was decorated for a European Christmas with lights, reindeer, German Nutcrackers and presents throughout the downstairs, making it very pretty. The food in both 1911 and The Spice Route restaurants was excellent. The Spice Route food was a particular highlight of perfectly balanced flavours. The 1911 bar was equally wonderful. It is an amazing room to start with and manager Yogesh Kumar made sure we were looked after beautifully. If I manage to come to Delhi again, I’m coming here!

The staff at the hotel are marvellous, they could not be more accommodating. I stayed here years ago but it is still a beautiful hotel, steeped in history and tradition with comfortable rooms, a fabulous gym and spa. We particularly enjoyed our time in the 191/ bar, what a great place to have a drink and something to eat.

Amazing hotel with excellent service and hospitality! Location is superb and so is the welcoming staff. The 1911 Bar has the best vibe and best music! The drinks are incredible and so is the wait-staff - thank you for making us feel right at home! Will be back!

I was expecting better! A shower over the bath is something I expect in far more basic hotels so I was surprised to find that was what was offered. The room was just a white box desperately in need of a few more pictures. Then there was this filthy object in my bedside locker!

This hotel was a beautiful and comfortable introduction to India as we arrived for our 3 week visit. We were warmly greeted and led to our fabulous room even though it was 1am. The breakfast area was large and light with indoor/outdoor seating options and included a large array of options where you could find almost anything you could want. The food was delicious at both breakfast and dinner. The staff was always smiling and helpful and made us feel unique and special. The hotel itself was simply luxurious and offered interesting historical pictures and artifacts which we enjoyed just walking around. We loved it all and highly recommend a stay here.
