Superb stay at Taj Mahal New Delhi
Another glorious stay at the Taj Mahal, New Delhi. 16th January until 22nd January (6 days). The ladies and men who work outside greeting guests are all so warm and welcoming. Basically they are just so kind and genuinely pleased to see you and welcome you to their hotel. Shraddha the Concierge lady is such a joy. She’s just so cool and together. She’s a very special lady. Amresh our lift operator had the warmest smile to greet us whenever we left or returned home:) It was Andrew’s Birthday when we arrived on the 16th and Mansi greeted us with a beautiful offering. Andrew was given a bouquet of flowers for his birthday. Several other members of staff greeted us too including the hotel manager who I met several times and is truly brilliant. Bharat another night manger was so thoughtful too. They were so beautiful. We were given an upgrade and Mansi showed us to our room. The room had rose petals beautifully arranged around the room. A cake was waiting with ‘Happy Birthday Andrew’ and a candle to light. A vase came for the flowers and they were wonderful for the room. A joy:) Mansi arranged Masala Chai and black chocolates too Andrew’s favourite. For me this is complete dedication to service excellency. The room on the 11th floor was majestic with stunning views. You cannot imagine New Delhi being so green with trees. It’s incredible to see the birds soaring to I think Eagles or kites. Such grace. A Yoga Mat was in the room as on a previous visit to the Taj I had mentioned in passing to Mansi I practiced Yoga. How considerate and amazing this incredible lady remembered this. She must meet hundreds of guests each week. GYM This opens at 6 Am and I was there on occasion at that time. You are welcomed and given a fresh towel and water. The gym has everything you need. On one day Durgesh who is the pool man said he had 15 mins and would stretch me before my run. He’s brilliant. It was so kind. He said let him do all the work and it really loosened me up. Another trainer I spoke to I’m afraid I can’t recall his name gave me some very useful ideas about training which I will adopt in 2025!!!! Swimming Pool This is a dream. The temperature in winter was warm and easy to get into. It’s a salt water pool so lovely to be in. The sun loungers are so comfortable too and the sun was starting to shine by mid January for some Vitamin D. I enjoyed my conversations very much. They have such a beautiful Neem tree in the grounds too. The grounds are immaculate and The Taj Mahal is so perfectly located to walk out and watch India’s Independence Day preparations. Jai Hindi:) SPA We visited the spa on most mornings for the steam room. It’s so tranquil in the spa. You are always warmly greeted by several people who will show you in. The steam room and Sauna are steamy and hot ready for you when the Spa opens at 8. They have a wonderful Jacuzzi too. Fresh towels and Himalayan water are on hand. But when you are finished with your Steam you are shown into a relaxing area with heated reclined seats. Now here’s the secret they bring you a warm health drink with organic jaggery. It is just so tasty and revitalising. The lady on my second visit said I need two cups:) it’s just so nice. If we didn’t need to leave the Spa for our breakfast we would not move from those heated seats and be there all day. I loved reading the magazines. Just so relaxed. Ahhhhhhh. TAJ CLUB The food is so tasty. I can’t recall all the names of chefs but I thank you. The lady chef was so grateful when I thanked her for cooking such wonderfully delicious and beautifully prepared food. The Chefs were incredible. Shenki Sharma the sous Chef was awesome. They were always on hand to cater for your every need always asking if we required anything literally anything and I’m sure they would arrange it. I was always happy though to wait and simply enjoy what ever they had prepared for the afternoon tea and Mocktail hour. We loved the coconut cocktail:) Satinder Rana the Guest Service manager was awesome. Just so happy positive and kind. Nothing was too much. He even knew the day we were checking out and because it was his day off that day asked if we needed anything prepared for our onward journey to Taj in Agra:) Just never ending thoughtfulness :) He was worked for the Taj for 26 years and he was so kind to share the most incredible memories. He even remembered where we sat the 1st time we visited a few years before and even recalled he brought me a dosa. I had to work late some nights and he made sure I was so cared for. They would literally bring me anything. Even after the Taj Club closed he would make sure the tea and coffee machine was left on. He even switched off the A/C for a while when I had cold. He’s such a gentleman. Truly astonishing and such a privilege and great honour to spend time with him. His hospitality is overwhelming. Hen a manager in Taj club was always so helpful too. Mr Ujjawal Bajaj Assistant Restaurant manager was so peaceful and took care of every little detail. The following people were incredible with hospitality and I’m sorry if I don’t go into more detail on how their generous service touched us greatly. Akshat Anurag from Darjeeling Jenny took care of me with honey lemon ginger water when I had cold. It worked miracles. Sweta - Whom I prayer will make it to the Kumb Mela 2025. I I can anything to facilitate this please let me know:) Sristy from Assam Vineet such a soft soul. Ajay when he laughed was so infectious we both ended up laughing too. Surinder Anurag Laxminarayan took care of everything too. Kashvii whos 1st day in Taj Club was great. Surinder an awesome chef who made the most mouth watering Dosa and paratha. Another person said he would make the Masala Chai especially grinding the cardamon and ginger. The taste was out of this world. He would personally make sure he made the Chai for us each morning. Ashi another Chef couldn’t do enough for us. ROOM Mr Saunveer Singh was the floor manager. We returned home one evening to find the most stunning round bouquet of red roses. Another evening he delivered a Yoga Nidra Forrest Essential product which of course I adored:) Brem was just incredible. He took care of every detail way beyond what anyone could reasonably expect. I had a cold and on returning to my room he had left a steam machine with Vix. It’s truly beyond description how I feel about the care we are given when we stay at Taj. Arman and Ayuush were so caring for night service. He brought us special Forrest essential bath salts as we had the most wonderful bathroom with huge bath with a forrest view over New Delhi. Everything was easy so for them that you felt they could read your mind. You did not need to ask for anything. It was great to see Surender from house keeping again too who welcomed us with such happiness. Bhumani was so helpful in our room service. Always on hand to take care of every detail too. Such a soft nature. I must sincerely apologise if I have not mentioned you by name and as I write this I can see the faces of the people who took care of us. The ladies and gentlemen outside the hotel. A gentleman with a name beginning with B….. He was radiating warmth as we walked up the stairs to the Hotel entrance. Thanks to every soul at the Taj who made our stay so comfortable and memorable.

Wah Taj! Literally and figuratively!
Hello Taj Mahal Delhi team, Apologies for the delay in sending this note out. I cant stress enough just how satisfying, relaxing and complete, our stay of 4 nights was at your property. Originally we had planned to stay for only one night, however, we were accommodated with an enhancement to stay in a 2 bedroom balcony suite. We absolutely loved the Taj welcome, the hospitality of each and every one of the staffs from the security guards, to the staff by elevators, reception area, restaurants. All were super polite and made us feel welcome and valued. On a spur we decided to stay 3 more nights and we were absolutely astonished and gratified when the management agreed to provide the same 2 bedroom balcony suite enhancement for three additional days on our booking. The personal touch in making our stay as welcome as possible was exceptional. the attention to details, the quickness and politeness in serving, the whole body language is miles apart. We have stayed at reputed properties in India before, belonging to Oberoi, ITC and JW Marriott; but never have we been part of such incredible and round the clock level of hospitality. It truly was a magical experience. The housekeeping staff were amazing as well. Checking up on us for any needs or requirements and sharing time with us in helping to understand the Taj culture even better. Personally this was my first Taj experience, and I couldn't have asked for a better place or better way for it to have unfolded. I would like to mention Some of the staff members who connected with us and made our stay feel like gods. I would like to mention Usha ji and D.Thombre ji from the Housekeeping department. It was so nice interacting with them and understanding about Taj's culture and history as it unfolded with them. It was awesome to learn that they have been with Taj Mahal Delhi since ages and have seen it change through different phases. They really took great care of us and left no stone unturned. I would also like to mention Sneha Thakur and Ashwini from the reception. Sneha was kind and courteous enough to check in on us everyday and to ensure we weren't in need of anything. She also ensured that we have a snap to remember her, Usha ji and D.Thombre ji as a memento from our stay. Ashwini was pivotal in helping us get accommodated in the 2 bedroom balcony suite and helped us experience the unique Taj welcome and walkthrough of the room. The property itself is incredible filled with people with incredible tales to tell. Even I managed to tell a tale of my own via my social media on Instagram. It was very nice to see the hotel celebrating a special lunch day with all its employees on the occasion of new year. It really gives one confidence about the capable and trusting hands and support of the TATA's. All in all it was a profound experience. I wish I could have stayed longer and on leisure basis but unfortunately I was on a business trip. While the place dazzles and shines in every affair, I just felt it slightly lacking in terms of food variety. Maybe my views have been spoiled by the lavish buffet that one sees at ITC or JW Marriott properties, but it was a very different experience here at Taj. I liked how subtle it was in choices and in its theme but I was left wishing to have had more options to choose from. Nonetheless this trip ranks amongst the top trips that I have ever had and for that I am truly grateful to the wonderful hospitality of Taj.

Memorable stay
The stay was good and the housekeeping staff was exceptional. The rooms were maintained well. The breakfast had a variety of options catering to different tastes. The hotel is located in the heart of the city. I would recommend this hotel to my friends and family.

Great hospitality.
Great Hotel. Check in experience was extremely smooth. The room was very well maintained. The location of the hotel was also perfect. The view from the room was exceptional. Lastly, the service staff were exceptional as well. Special mention to Shrishti, Laxmi, Ujjwal and Raktim at the Club lounge and the staff at the reception namely Rohit, Lakshay and Monika.
