Spectacular Resort and Spa

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

The service, location, ambiance, and restaurants are top notch; but I want to give an extra shoutout to the spa and the staff there. The manager Sheree is a delight. The masseuses Pauline, Kenneth, and Yolanda are excellent. I can’t recommend them enough and will ask for them on my next trip. Kenneth got the knots out of my hubby’s back. Pauline and Yolanda were both attentive to me on my treatments. 5 stars!

Come for the view, return for the love ❤️

Our August 2024 visit to Jamaica Inn marks the 8th time we've returned to Jamaica Inn. Our experience was so outstanding we can't wait to return! The Inn has a private beach: not accessible unless you are on the property. This is wonderful: no one stands on the beach peddling wares. Every room at the Inn is outstanding: ocean views from your verandah. The food is outstanding. It is a culinary experience at every meal. But what keeps us coming back is the staff. It is like reuniting with family. Other resorts have a few "all-star" employees. The Jamaica Inn has all-stars across the board. Morgan and I love our annual stay at Jamaica Inn and cannot wait to return!

Heavenly Home from Home

Welcome home to Jamaica Inn. It truly is a splendid hotel and lives up to all expectations. The staff are so welcoming, friendly and kind. Highlights of this hotel are the afternoon tea. It’s beautifully presented and gives you a chance to catch up and mix with other guests. The cocktail parties, followed by dinner on some evening are exceptional. The James Bond film shows on the beach is another great idea. We enjoyed sailing down from Jamaica Inn on a kayak and up the White River. Geary (the boatman at the hotel) took two of our party fishing and they caught some great tuna, which we ate for dinner at the hotel. The owners are really friendly and down to earth and as Jamaicans, they really know so much about the local area. They are also really committed to conservation of the reefs, turtles and fish life too, through the Jamaica Inn Foundation. The rooms are very clean and well presented. The only slight drawback was we had a room really near to the dining area and bar and one night some guests were being rowdy and annoyingly loud on the upper terrace right next to our room. After we rang down to complain, the night duty receptionist asked them politely to tone it down. I would have liked to have seen more of Shadow, the dog. We knew Shadow (the old black labrador) who had been trained to take life buoys out to anyone appearing to be in distress in the sea. Shadow the pup is deep in training and so wasn’t allowed to run around loose or mix with guests, hopefully this will change as he gets older. Special mention to Murray (bar man who has been there 53 years) long may you continue your great work! Thanks to the bar staff who brought our fruit punch on the beach mid morning and beach staff who beautifully arranged the sunbeds on the beach, to the waiters and waitresses for their hard work, to the band in the evening and their lady singer who is superb. The Yoga class in the spa was excellent, very relaxing and spiritual. The spa is beautiful, however after being in Negril where really great massage and reflexology is a fraction of the price, I did not have any treatments here. I do think the Inn is a bit overpriced for these treatments, unfortunately. Overall, we all had a fantastic time. You don’t feel like you’re on holiday at Jamaica Inn, it’s home from home. Well done to all the team and hope to see you again very soon!

Exceptional Vacation!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

We just returned from our second trip to Jamaica Inn. My parents had traveled to Jamaica Inn in the 1960s(about ten trips) and so it came highly recommended! Jamaica Inn is one of the most beautiful hotels that my husband and I have ever stayed in. the verandah directly on the beach is lovingly furnished and the view spectacular. No TV or radio in the room. the main goal is to relax, and that is just what we did. The food is superb, but what makes Jamaica Inn so special is the service. Everyone goes out of their way to take care of you and everyone smiles. Special shout out to Shalene and Michaela for starting our day with wonderful smiles at breakfast. I cannot recommend this wonderful hotel enough. We will be back and cannot wait to play with Shadow again. Thank you for a great vacation!

An Unmatched Luxury Experience

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 months ago

From the moment I was picked up at Boscobel airport by Loye, I knew I was in for the time of my life. Everything just felt easy, seamless. Quick ride to the hotel, and I was met with smiling faces at the reception. I couldn't help but smile, the ladies were so warm and welcoming. Mr. Morrow caught me completely by surprise by welcoming me at the reception with the legendary and sweet Shadow, which was such a personable touch to the already amazing experience. My room was the perfect blend of luxurious touches and finishes, all white crisp linens, flowers, candles - true understated luxury without the distractions of the extra stuff; it was exactly what you need for the best holiday. The food was some of the best meals I've had, think fresh fruit and ackee & saltfish for breakfast, escovitch fish and jerk chicken for lunch. I chose to stick to the more local fare, but there were plenty of other western options too. I enjoyed coming up to the terrace for afternoon tea and seeing the other guests. That's one thing about the Jamaica Inn, it felt very sociable. Guests always greeted each other in passing, the staff always greeted guests in passing and I really enjoyed that aspect. The beach area was pristine and felt like a little private slice of paradise. I looked forward to the daily smoothie/planter's punch round at 11am. But what really brings the Jamaica Inn to life is the staff, and I cannot stress that enough. The staff are truly an amazing team of people. Just so many folks to give a shoutout: Devoy from the front desk, the front desk ladies whose names I regrettably did not get to write down; Romain, Alvin and Makayla from the restaurant team; Nicola and Maria from the housekeeping team; Xavier and Winston from the beach; Robert, Murray, Patrick and Williams from the Bartending team; and to Williams and Patrick again for being the best croquet coaches. An indisputable 5 star experience, just writing this review has me pining to return, which I will absolutely do at first opportunity; the Jamaica Inn now feels like home.
