Sofitel Legend Casco Viejo

From the moment we approached the door to the hotel until we walked out for the last time, every member of the Sofitel team were extremely friendly and attentive. The butler team led by Orlando, and including Deshler, Angelique, Annette met our every request with so much grace and went above and beyond to help me surprise my husband with a custom anniversary cake with only hours notice! Special thanks to Chef Sebastian! The waiters during breakfast Juan, Luis, and Alex made us feel like they had known us for years and ensured our special/preferred. The meals were wonderful. Christmas Eve dinner was exquisite! And the property itself is charming, respecting the legacy of the Casco Viejo structure that it is in through design and decor. The Sofitel tour guide Luisa said it best when she described the mindset of the staff: “we serve from our heart”. We absolutely experienced this and anticipate returning often.

Beautiful hotel. Room was fantastic. Wonderful design and extremely comfortable, a real delight. Location is perfect for exploring Casco Viejo. Nice cafe on site. One thing it misses is a great bar. The roof bar is nice but had loud music and misses the mark with the atmosphere. Lots of great places on the doorstep so not an issue but stops the hotel itself being a 5.

I don't know when I've had a more enjoyable hotel experience. From the moment you pull up till the moment you (sadly) check out. Such a lovely vibe. I expected Bogart and Bergman to step out of a room at any time. The service is fabulous, the rooms are lovely and well appointed, the location is terrific and the food is great. The history of the hotel is SO interesting and they give a little talk every afternoon about it. I can't imagine a better place to stay when in Panama City

OMG, when you arrive at the Sofitel Legend you are greeted by at least 2 door people. Alfredo, Maria,Katherine or Carlos who have the kindest smiles and escort you into the beautiful lobby. At the front desk Annette and Denisse were most helpful and lovely. My housekeeper, Ina, was always available and my room was spectacular, especially the bed and pillows. The conceirge team of Keyla and Miriel are knowledgable and a wealth of local information. Miriel contacted two tennis centers and 3 golf clubs for me. They are amazing! At the spa, Nazeli, is patient explaining all the spa options. I bumped my head and she was helpful with first aid. At the coffee shop, Luis and Jesus make a delicious cup of Panamamian coffee with a smile and a big thanks. The pool is outstanding and the staff of Yullisa, Gabriel and Ricardo are quick with a towel, water and any other request. They make luxuriating by the pool a blessing. When I am on vacation eating great food and umbrella drinks are a must. The Sofitel bar and restaurants do not disappoint at all because the food and drinks are delicious but the bar and wait staff are outstanding, Ricardo, Anthony, Orlando, Fatima, Ana Builtrago, Fatima, Juan Carlos, Iveth, Delia, Dario, Shaun and Michael are the best at their craft in my travels. I enjoy Panama but I love the staff at the Sofitel Legend. I will be back because of their kindness and beautiful personalities.

A wonderful hotel with even more wonderful staff! Exquisite experience catered to you, comfy beds, delish food and awesome location in casco.
