"To be grand in every sense of the word" — this is the spirit of Le Grand Hotel. Located in the heart of the capital, facing the Opéra Garnier and a stone's throw from Place Vendôme, Le Grand Hôtel could only have "Grand" department stores as neighbors: Les Galeries Lafayette and Le Printemps. The history of Le Grand Hôtel is as grand as it is long sharing 157 years of Parisian life. Le Grand Hôtel has always lived at the rhythm of French history. Le Grand Hôtel has delighted citizens from all around the world, stimulated artists, and celebrated victories. The Grand Hotel is the meeting place for all those who think grand. The Grand Hotel looks afar. From our 458 rooms and 90 suites, you can see either the Paris Opera House, the Eiffel Tower or look out over the rooftops of Paris. To be grand is also to be close. It means offering tailor-made services to meet the deep needs of each individual. That is why Le Grand Hôtel offers a Club Lounge, a Marine Spa, a diplomatic wing and a wide range of the most beautiful salons in Paris. The Grand Hôtel de Paris does everything possible to create the finest culinary experience. It all starts with the choice of the Chefs who know just how to combine ambition and humility, because aiming for perfection in the kitchen is an everyday exercise. The Café de la Paix is a Parisian institution in itself, whose reputation is earned client by client. In recent months, Le Grand Hôtel has undertaken major and costly renovation work, in partnership with Pierre-Yves Rochon, to embellish and improve the comfort of our rooms and suites. Today, Le Grand Hôtel is certain to have the most beautiful suites in the capital and is happy to have kept its promise: "to be grand in every sense of the word"

I stay here every time I come to Paris. It is one gorgeous hotel and I can't say enough good things about this place. The food, lobby, restaurants, and staff and amazing. They go above and beyond to make us feel special every time we're there. My only critique is that the gym is the size of a closet and has baby weights. I had to pay $40 euros to go to a gym close to the hotel.

We were travelling on business and chose to stop over in Paris to enjoy a couple of nights at the Intercontinental La Grand. We are very familiar with the hotel and have always had an excellent stay. We enjoyed the airport transfer which the hotel arranged as Christian our driver was very kind and assisted us with every detail. We checked in at the lounge and Sasha was very kind and helpful. After a few minutes of enjoying some tea, Alejandra came with the keys. She apologized the hotel was full and no upgrades were possible. I knew that the hotel was sold out and I said we were most happy with the room we reserved and there was no problem at all. We then proceeded to our room where we received a very nice bottle of champagne and treats. Not to mention a wonderful book about the Le Grand which my wife is really enjoying. Alejandra, also saw to us receiving a very generous amount of IHG points for the inability to upgrade. So very thoughtful. Lofty, in the Club lounge was so attentive and friendly. He remembered us from our previous visits and was absolutely fantastic. We had a terrific stay albeit too short. John Mark was our driver to the airport. Not only did he walk us into to the airport assisting with our luggage, but escorted us to check in and then went with us to the tax refund and did it all for us. So unbelievably kind and helpful. We certainly like the wonderful service we received and planning on returning in August. Can’t wait. Thanks to all the staff as everyone we encounter was exceptionally nice, professional and helpful. Shalom!

It was our first visit to Paris and we were celebrating 50 years of Marriage. so we booked into the Intercontinental Paris le Grand and it was indeed very Grand. We were treated like royalty from the start till we left 6 days later. Reception from Valentin was a real treat. First of all he upgraded us from a cosy room to a beautiful room with Balconies overlooking the Opera House. He had a great personality and we were well welcomed. When we got to the room a few minutes later , a member of staff appeared with Champagne and Macaroons! What a treat. Another day we had great help from concierge Benjamin who was able to make a booking for us. Although we found the Hotel expensive to eat in we did book a table at Cafe de la Paris on the last night and again a real treat and lovely experience. Our waiter James was a real treasure and made us very welcome and the food was grand too. There was a beautiful girl playing a Harp, so what more could you ask. Many thanks to all, from the Door people to the excellent room Staff . We found the Hotel very central and were able to walk to all the attractions although we sometimes got a Taxi back.

This hotel is a gem in the heart of Paris! All is walking distance! We stayed for two nights in December at the same time of the opening of the Notre Dame Cathedral! We are a family of 4 ( 2 adults, a 4YO and a 2YO) and we were all very well treated by the friendly staff, despite all the security measures in place, we managed to have a normal stay. Breakfast and restaurant are very nice and there is always something for you to enjoy. The rooms are old-style maybe asking for an update, but very comfortable, clean with a touch of luxury. The Club Lounge is very nice, great selection of food and drinks. For sure a place to consider if you want to stay in the Paris city centre.

I can not remember how many times I have stayed at Le Grand Intercontinental Paris. The first time I stayed was well over 25 years ago. Located near the Opera House and intersection of many main streets, near the airport bus stop, department stores, the hotel location is excellent. Since the hotel is old, many rooms have different layouts. Some rooms even have odd layouts by today’s standard. This time my room has the toilet door facing right the room door, and the toilet has no sink in it. You have to walk through the room to wash your hands. Having said that, my superior room was considered spacious given a central Paris location. The room fitting is updated and has smart TV. The best part of the hotel is the breakfast at the restaurant Cafe de la pax. The food choice is wide and food is of good quality. Service people is helpful and polite. We did dine at Cafe de la pax for dinner for one night, but the food was average in dinner. It was not bad but there is much room for improvement. The escargot and the ravioli was good, but the scallop, which is pretty easy to cook, was below average. Front desk, concierge and house keeping staff are all efficient and have good smile.
