SO/ Paris

This hotel is absolutely wonderful. The location is near a subway station and a 15 minute walk to Notre Dame. Food at the restaurant and the drinks at the bar were all excellent. The bed was very comfortable and decor in the whole place was very charming. The cleaning staff even left little snacks and treats for us. On top of all that, the thing that made our stay truly special was the staff. Every staff person we interacted with was friendly, knowledgeable, and very helpful. Especially the concierges. They helped us make reservations at places that had exactly the kind of food we were looking for, helped us figure out the most efficient train routes to see the sites we were interested in, and helped us figure out ticketing. I honestly can’t say enough good things about this hotel. I will definitely be staying there again next time I visit Paris.

I was torn of what rating to give this so it’s probably better to describe my experiences. With this hotel your enjoyment will definitely come down to what matters to you about a hotel. ✔️ If you want some of the Best Views in Paris and are prepared to pay a premium for this and this really matters to you then it is worth it! The views from the roof top view rooms are exceptional and the bar and restaurant is stunning! It should be noted as others have said you can get the views from the bar but it is nice to have it in from your room. ✔️ The Food / Bar restaurant - The food was first class and our server Tracey was excellent. It is well worth a visit. ✔️ The service - on the whole the staff did want to please and went out of their way to help. It is all very slick, as soon as you arrive concierge get your bags, a drink it’s brought to you at the desk and your bags taken to your room. Concierge were very attentive with taxis and advice. ✔️ Turndown service and nice amenities every night and very clean rooms. ✔️ Tom amazing, lovely helpful everyone needs a Tom in their life! ✔️ The location - excellent central and cheaper out and about. 😐 The rooms - They are small expect this for Paris from most hotels, but the bathroom doors leave nothing to the imagination. I was there with my husband so not too bad but do I really need to see him in the shower? 😐 The ambience - It all feels more American then French. The staff all speak perfect English even to each other, but to me I prefer something just a little more French. 😐 Diamond recognition - Our status was recognised verbally but no upgrade or significant extra touches. 😐 Taxis - Uber always says taking a little longer than usual so allow for a wait. 😳 - The check out! I was really disappointed with the receptionist for check us out. She didn’t take into account my preauthorisation and my card declined. I was with my husband so didn’t want to get into cost as it was a surprise for his birthday so I just used another card from my U.K. bank rather than my French one. I had more than enough funds in my French account just not double to cover the pre auth and the actual amount being take. Again. This meant I used my Amex card and was charged and international transaction fee and had to then transfer funds from my French account to U.K. account to cover it. I lost money on the exchange rate through this so her error cost me about £100. So check out in private if it is a surprise and insist that the receptionist releases the authorisation first. Overall would I stay here again? No - but that’s because I’ve done it and experienced it now. If you want great service and amazing views do it! But just watch your bill on check out!

Since the hotel is very new, the very young staff is not well trained. The rooms are nice.The breakfast is good. The location is decent. Some of the modern conveniences require a learning curve for those not so tech savvy. Quality of room service could be better

We stayed 4 nights in this hotel. For a 5 star hotel in Paris we were very disappointed with the service. We were unable to get timely housekeeping services including turn down service. The restaurant where we had breakfast was understaffed and even on one day there were no staff, the buffet was not completely set up and the manager was taking orders. Our room had a slatted bathroom door so my husband could not sleep while I took my shower. The light switches had no lights and were impossible to find in a dark room. Would not stay there again as there are many fine hotels in Paris for the same cost.

Pros: Incredible views from restaurant and hip bar on top of hotel. Cool vide and room interiors; good for couples not business. No desk in room. Cons: Concierge made an incorrect reservation and was slow to communicate; generally staff seems to need more training. Rooms are tight and not that well laid out particularly the bathrooms. Had to wait to check out because system not working fast.
