In the heart of the district synonymous with Parisian fashion, the Sofitel Paris Le Faubourg hotel embodies all the prestige of haute couture and luxury. Between Rue Faubourg Saint-Honoré and the Champs-Elysées, this distinctive 18th-century town house immerses you in the glamour of the great fashion houses. Inspired by their styles, designer Didier Gomez created a chic, contemporary and luxurious decor.

Hotel is in a great location. Rooms are nice but are a little small. Restaurant was good for breakfast but was not open on Saturday and Sunday evenings. Check in process was good but other service was patchy at best. We checked in and went for a walk in the local area before going into the bar for our welcome drinks. It was an embarrassing experience as the bar man took one look at us and rolled his eyes when I mentioned that we didn’t have a reservation. I suspect he didn’t realise we were staying at the hotel as we were wearing our winter coats. He would not allow us to sit at a couple of tables for four which ‘were booked’ and asked us to split across two 2-seat tables at different locations in the small bar. We were treated with disdain by the young French man. As this was early in our stay it clouded our impression of the training and service standards in the hotel. ( It was the only instance of rudeness that we received whilst in Paris.) It is never acceptable to roll your eyes at customers when they are looking to visit a bar without a prior booking. Generally, the level of service and friendliness from the staff was much worse than we had received at recent stays in the Sofitels in London and Munich. We also encountered problems with taxi booking. On more than one occasion, it seemed that our pre booked taxis had been given away to other guests - we then had to wait many minutes while the door man tried to flag down a replacement. It felt like we were unimportant guests to the staff. This was the final stay in a six week trip through Europe mostly staying at Accor hotels. I have been a diamond status member of ‘all Accor’ for many years and this is the second ‘average’ review that I have given in that time. In future, I will book a non Accor group hotel when staying in France.

I was a bit unsure about this booking given some of the very negative reviews, but this hotel exceeded all expectations. We were traveling over the holidays with a family of four, so not easy to find great accommodations. We booked the Faubourg suite, which was a suite connected to another deluxe room — it was excellent and so spacious (we had just come from a similar room setup in a London hotel, which was much more cramped). Beds were extremely comfortable, rooms were quiet and clean, housekeeping reliable. We ended up eating breakfast in the room each morning (jet lag!); it was a little pricey but always delicious. The staff was so kind and helpful. When we arrived at 430 pm on New Years Day we learned our room was not ready and might not be for a while, which was very disappointing, but the staff was so apologetic and accommodating—treating us to drinks and food in the bar and ensuring housekeeping turned our room asap, and including all sorts of goodies for our children in the room. And, when I got very sick on our second day, they had a doctor to the room within an hour. Many of the reviews have mentioned that the hotel is a bit dated. That’s true, although in our experience pretty on par for European hotels. The bathrooms were really the only part of the room that pretty obviously needed some love. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable stay in the heart of Paris!

It's been awhile since I've written a review (lazy) but this review is worth the time as I will definitely stay here again. We were there in late Nov'24 to mid Dec'24 to celebrate our 30th anniversary & BD celebration. This trip's purpose is to spend more time at the museums and experience Christmas markets in France & Switzerland. Location: Right in the heart of Paris, walking distance to many major attractions such Musee du Louvre, Champs-Élysées, Arc de Triomphe, Place de Concord, Opera House, Musee d'Orsay, Galeries Lafayette, Jardin des Tuileries park/garden, Musee de l'Orangerie, luxury shopping areas, etc. The hotel is also next to the American embassy so the entire block is blocked off with security with limited access to taxi. I consider this is very safe for us. The entire stay, we did not have to take the subway but if you need to, it's a 5min walk. We did use Uber a few times to specific restaurants for dinner. You do need to consider traffic when booking. You do need to walk to the end of the block for a pickup. There many restaurants in this area and we did dine 3x, all are within 5-30min walking. Hotel ambience and decor: Hotel entrance is small, not as grand comparing to the others such as the Hotel de la Marine, The RC, The Intercontinental... It's a smaller hotel but still luxurious and beatifully decorated. Hotel is not grand, cozy with comfortable seatings while there is a wonderful quiet and very comfortable "library at on end to relax for a drink, winding down after a long day of exploring. There are 2 elevators in separate area due to connecting buildings. Staffs & Services: Friendly, helpful, accommodating and genuine! We arrived early (10am) so our suite is not available as requested for early check-in. We did have to wait about 3hrs and was upgraded from a Jr. suite to a suite. The staffs did offer us to use the gym for freshen up while waiting and come back after lunch. The upgraded suite was a bi-level with bedroom downstairs. It was nice but inconvenient for us due to the small stairs and I had surgery on my leg. The staff able to change to a single level suite which was great! NOTE: do not expect a view at this hotel if this is one of your must have in Paris. We would like to say thank you to all the staffs at this hotel for great service, genuinely caring services and very helpful from front desk, concierge, dining and housekeeping. Especially to 2x Lea (Guest relation & hostess) , Gina, Camille, Anais, Yohann & Walid. :). From taking the time to help with transportation, calling to help with seat RSVP, dinner RSVP and various recommendations! Staffs never rushed to respond and taking the time to provide answers. Of course, fast service whenever we requested extra water bottles for the room, towels, etc. Foods & Dining: Breakfast was great with many selections from bakeries, cheese, fresh fruits, a la cart orders (eggs selection, cook to order) and fresh juices including healthy green veggies!! The bar is always packed during the 5 days we stayed there but there is overflow seatings in the restaurant next door. We did dine here one evening b/c of the rain and we were too tired from a long day of walking and exploring. Foods were good (dishes we ordered), not great. Lots of options at the bar including exclusively at the hotel and you can order drinks not on the menu.

Coffee stains on clean bed and towels. After arriving from the states all you want to do is shower and sleep. But your towels and bed linen has the cleaning crews spilt coffee from her/his cart on it, well it makes this 5-star hotel seem like a 2 star. (plus the small room) by the way therebisba hidden closet behind the mirror, you would think the private tour person would have told you this. More to come 5 more nights.

Service was excellent. Good hotel Rooms ok but they had great closet space. Water pressure in shower was weak. Fantastic location near shopping and restaurants. The only thing I didn’t like was the soulless lobby that could do with a redecoration.
