The staff was most helpful! Rico Alverez, front desk, could not have been more helpful with dining suggestions, taxi calls and parking. He stood out as genuine, concerned for the client experience. Staff was always helpful in many matters.

Skip this property! Extremely over valued for the price point. Linens are like rags that just keep getting recycled. The “extra living space” room is a joke because there’s a 4 foot round column in it that takes up any extra room if it was there to begin with which it wasn’t. The “KING” size bed is at most a queen. As far as cleanliness, I’d hate to know their definition of dirty. Arrived at 8pm and waited over 5 minutes before anyone came to the front desk and that was only after the bellman notified them. Was told they had to use the restroom. Bad management from the top if they don’t cover shifts so someone can actually go to the bathroom. As a platinum ambassador, wasn’t offered an amenity. No bottled water in the room or any amenities of any sort such as a welcoming gift. The property is simply a poorly renovated building overcharging a premium price for what you receive. I’ve stayed in many Kimpton and Intercontinentals and this one by far is the worst. Definitely don’t recommend wasting your money here and I definitely won’t be back. Simply, monies wasted.

One of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. In Phoenix, Arizona, one of the hottest and driest places on earth, there’s no drinking water available in your room. You need to buy predatory $5 water bottles because they know you have no other option besides getting dressed and going down to the lobby and filling a small plastic cup. They explicitly say that the drinking water is unsafe. I called the front desk and they assured me they’d bring up a few water bottles and after 5 hours (and calling back a few times) only brought up one. They then said they had no other water bottles in the entire hotel. I kept waking up to a dry throat/nose and had no other option but to get fully dressed and go down to the lobby and fill up little cups in the middle of the night. This isn’t 4 star quality hospitality. This is more what I’d expect from an Airbnb before it gets removed from the app.

This Kimpton is the worst I have ever experienced. The noise level in my room from the bar next door was outrageously loud. It was impossible to even sit in the room the thumping from the music next door was ridiculous. The music goes on until the wee hours of the morning. You might as well sleep in your car - it would be more comfortable.

My husband and I frequently stay at Kimpton hotels when we travel. We love the Kimpton brand because of the quality of service the staff provides. When we checked into the Phoenix Kimpton, there were some issues with our room. I discussed it with Timothy the reception agent who was apologetic and kind. He offered us some extra food and beverage coupons. A little while later Sarah contacted us and asked if we would like to view some different room options. We said yes, and in the end Sarah very kindly upgraded us to a much more comfortable room. We were very impressed how she went way above and beyond to make sure our stay was comfortable and pleasant. She really made the difference in making our stay a good one!
