Maroma, A Belmond Hotel, Riviera Maya

The service, the location, the warmth of the staff--is beyond excellent. Sabrina and Federica were always ther for our needs. We cried of joy when we departed yesterday! We felt like we were leaving family behind!

The Maroma is a beautiful, tranquil property. From our initial warm and cultural greeting, to the very end, I do not believe I have experienced service like this before. The staff is very friendly and genuine. If they make a cocktail for you, they explain the ingredients and the history behind it. We never felt that it was crowded in any space on the property. There was no need to "save" umbrellas or chairs at any point. The property feels very private and serene, not like a chain hotel. We would love to visit again.

We couldn't wait to experience the Belmond after its re-opening. It's a very special place and captures the true essence of the Riviera Maya. The beach of course is amazing, as is the entire facility. The service is top notch, and we were addressed by our name by the entire staff immediately after check-in. The food at both restaurants is elevated, as are the cocktails at Bambuco, It's a quiet, lovely place to visit to relax, be pampered and unwind.

AMAZING! I can’t even express in words how great it was. They genuinely cared about your comfort and made sure you had everything you needed. Well me and my family were here we had the most relaxing time and they had lots of family activities including (my favorite) snorkeling I was 7 inches away from a huge sea turtle. Besides the service the scenery was stunning it made me feel like I was in an aztec jungle it was wonderful! 🫶🏻

My husband and I stayed at the Belmond Maroma for a week for my 40th birthday. First, the service here is beyond. Everyone is attentive, friendly, and we had lots of great convo with the staff. Your personal hosts really feel like they are hosting you at their home for the week - consistently reaching out to see if you need anything, and reminding you of your current reservations. Shout out to Omar and Cynthia! Thanks for the birthday decorations! Prior to coming to Belmond, I worked with Christian on excursions and reservations for the week - he was patient, funny, and had some great ideas! Second, the property is stunning! The pools are gorgeous and I'm typically not a beach person but they kept it so immaculate I found myself lounging at the beach a few days as well.Third, we got massages at the spa and they were wonderful. Don't forget to check out the thermal pools after. Finally, the food here is the best we have experienced at a resort. We have stayed at the Rosewood and although we still love it there, the food at Belmond Maroma is just beyond anything we had at RW. We had plans to leave the resort one night to get dinner elsewhere since we were there for a whole week, but decided to eat multiple times at Woodend and Casa Mayor because the food was THAT good. Pro tip: They provide comfy cotton kaftans in your room during your stay that many people wore as coverups. I used them as PJs and next time would leave my PJs at home as they refreshed them. They also provide a beach tote and hats. There are bikes throughout the resort for use but the resort is easily walkable.
