Thompson Playa del Carmen Main House

I had an amazing time in the rooftop UMI restaurant. Top-notch service and delicious food along with mimosa. Such a beautiful view and professional staff. I want to thank you GM Ankara who made our day special checking that everything is going well. A place to come back for sure. Kudos to the hostess and server!!

The rooms at this property are a clear reflection of its overall decline. Our reservation was downgraded to a smaller room without explanation, setting the tone for a disappointing stay. Inside, the linens were mismatched, old, and stained, and the amenities were stripped down to the bare basics, offering none of the comfort or quality expected. Accessing the patio was unnecessarily difficult, as furniture obstructed the doorway, forcing us to nudge it aside and climb over to step outside. To make matters worse, non-guests were allowed to use the property freely, further diminishing the experience for paying guests. The lack of attention to detail and upkeep in the rooms mirrors the neglect seen throughout the property, making it far from the luxurious experience it once was.

This review is for the Beach House of Hyatt Centric. This is a gem, small friendly boutique hotel at the center of Playa Del Carmen. Second time here and will be here next time and the time after and.... For my trip in Dec. 2024, I left my wallet with about 8K Pesos in my room. The stuff found it and contacted me right away, audited the contents and kept it all safe till I pick it up personally... all the story you hear about Cancun is not safe.. blah blah this and that.. well if you think you can leave your wallet in some hotel in NYC with 400 bucks in cash, you will get it back ???

The best hotel in playa!!! The best location and best people! Alehandro is the most lovely people. We here in the second time and I wish to come back and enjoy this perfect hotel. The hotel is clean and all is new here. The roof is the best view ever. On the roof have a people is name Alehandro He is the best one here.

Liars, thieves and worst place to stay. Worst customer service. They do not care about their guest. Lied about air conditioning working. Stay 4 nights and get 5th free promotion but charged me. Said I would be reimbursed but had to fight with them up until now and they decided not to honour their promotion. Said to get back money from my credit card company. I could go on and on. Will stick with Bonvoy and Hilton. Had to communicate with Manager by App not even in person. Wanted to meet me on his terms and time.
