Stepping into Golden Well Hotel is like traveling back in time. Tucked between the Castle and Ledeburg Gardens in Prague, this 16th-century Renaissance building once belonged to Emperor Rudolf II and later to the famed astronomer Tycho de Brahe. The 20 bedrooms and suites and adorned with masterful reproductions of centuries old pieces recreated by the furniture designers of Richelieu. On a terrace beneath the Castle gardens, you can savor international cuisine with French influences at Restaurant U Zlaté Studne.

We had a wonderful stay at the Golden Well Hotel. My mum, sister and I really enjoyed our stay between Christmas and new year 24. The hotel was very cute and traditional, tucked away and very quiet in a great location to Charles bridge and the castle. The rooms were spacious and very well equipped. As there were 3 of us sharing we felt there was enough space for the 3 comfortably. The complimentary afternoon tea and the cake beside the bed and the free cocktail was a real treat, really felt spoiled oh and let’s not forget the pillow menu!! We had dinner in the restaurant one evening which was amazing and breakfast was delicious too, so much choice, the food was of excellent quality. The staff were brilliant, couldn’t do enough for us, very friendly and helpful. We were recommended the Aria hotel /Orla restaurant (hope that’s the right name - it’s the sister hotel to The Golden Well) for dinner one evening and can highly recommend that too. Over all Prague was a great trip and made more the pleasurable by the staff and the experience we had at the hotel. Thank you and we will definitely be back.

What a fabulous hotel! We had read the reviews before booking for our trip in mid December. We were very impressed with the reviews but on arrival at the hotel, our expectations were exceeded. We arrived mid morning and we were allocated our rooms, even though we arrived a couple of hours before check in. The receptionist was so helpful, supplying us with maps and instructions on how to get the Christmas markets. The rooms were beautifully appointed, spotlessly clean, with beautiful bed linen and toiletries in the bathroom. There was a hospitality room on the second floor, which was open between 4.30pm and 6.30pm, where you could avail of tea, coffee, wine, Prosecco, snacks, cakes and homemade biscuits, all with the compliments of the hotel. The breakfast was fantastic, in a beautiful room on the 4th floor, which had fantastic views. All of the staff here were so helpful, courteous, pleasant and so efficient and professional. It is one of the best, if not the best hotel we ever stayed in and we will definitely return.

We had a great stay at this beautiful hotel in Prague, which is in an excellent location. Great rooms, terrific breakfast, a great restaurant for a unique dinner, fantastic city views from the restaurant, and a staff offering outstanding service.

The Golden Well is a wonderful hotel and was the perfect place to stay during a pre-Christmas visit to Prague. The property sits at the base of the Prague Castle and is a short walk across the river to many of Prague's popular sites. The staff was helpful, the hotel itself is beautiful and the rooms were impeccably maintained. They host breakfast for the guests in their rooftop hotel, which has an expansive view eastwards over the River Vltava and onto popular sites like the Charles Bridge. The food was delicious and we cherished starting our mornings in such a beautiful atmosphere. The location of the Golden Well is a perfect balance between convenience and quiet; it is somewhat separate from the busier paths throughout the city but provides quick access (< 10 min) to so many of the popular spaces throughout the city. We will definitely stay again!

The attention to detail at this hotel is truly excellent. We've been lucky enough to be able to access some stunning hotels around Europe's major cities and this was by far the best we've encountered. The room service, food, room, front desk and communications were first class and it's clear that the staff at the Golden Well go the extra mile for their guests. In particular, we found house keeping especially strong, along with the breakfast team - the breakfasts were amazing! All in all, an excellent hotel which really takes care of its guests and we are hoping to visit again in the near future.

Hotel U Zlate Studne was fabulous! The staff was gracious and attentive. Our Grande Deluxe guest room included every amenity as described. The food was excellent! The property itself is tucked away in a residential area. It is within a few blocks of public transportation, making this a great home base for sightseeing and shopping. Five-Star Quality!

HarperWe spent 3 nights at this delightful hotel, and everything about the stay surpassed our expectations. The hotel has everything you could ask for in a luxury property, at very moderate prices. The location was ideal, within easy walking distance of most attractions, but a couple of short blocks removed from the tourist thouroughfares. The building, which is centuries old, is full of character. It has been tastefully renovated, with respect for the historic features of the architecture and decor. In closing, I hope to return to Prague sometime to see it in spring or summer. U Zlate Studne will definitely be my first choice.
