Clean, quiet, and comfortable with a friendly attentive staff. A short walk to many restaurants and the Providence Performing Arts Center to see a show! We will stay here again. The building is beautiful with original artwork in the rooms and lobby.

We booked the Hotel and paid through Priceline. We had to attend a holiday party a couple of blocks away and felt more comfortable staying in the hotel overnight than driving after the party. We checked in before the party and came back around 8:00PM. TV was not working (only Weather Channel for the West Coast!) Called the reception and was told to call again in the morning. Room was noisy (humming motor) even with the heat turned off. No extra blanket. Room was cold. We checked out around 1:00AM as we could not sleep and drove home. A charge for $22.60 on my CC was discovered. Called the hotel, was told by an employee, who refused to give her name, that the charge was for amenities. I argued we didn't use ANYTHING. Was told the charge cannot be refunded whether or not you use anything. This is a TOTAL scam and rip-off. The employee also stated there is no manager. Disputing the charge with our bank. Stay away from this hotel with highly questionable practice. When I called Wyndham they gave me a @gmail address to write to the manager!! Unbelievable!

Was just here for one night for work. The hotel is a short walk from the train station and centrally located to numerous restaurants. It’s an old hotel, so the rooms have more of an historic feel, but they still provide modern amenities. The front entrance staff are all very nice. They have a restaurant with both a decent breakfast and dinner. All in all, a quiet and comfortable stay.

We were checked in by Eli and Penelope- although very casual in both dress and manner, Eli was friendly and helpful, and offered us complimentary amenities upon check in which included soda or water, and there was a cocoa/cookie bar set up by the elevator which was a nice touch. A list of local recommended restaurants was provided. The hotel lobby and our guest room exuded charm with traditional furnishings and gilded mirrors, and the guest room bathroom was very nice. Bed was reasonably comfortable and the room was clean. Hotel breakfast was delicious and complimentary. Valet parking was easy and quick. Hotel is located within sight of the PPAC and easy walking distance to Providence Coal Fired Pizza, which was delicious, as well as a few other restaurants. My only complaints: we stayed for 2 nights on a free certificate, but our credit card shows two pending charges totaling over $700. Honestly, the hotel should have set our guest room rate to zero upon surrender of the certificate, with our card only being authorized for incidentals. My second complaint is that the complimentary amenities and breakfast listed above really aren't complimentary- there's a $20 per day "amenity fee" that I assume goes towards both of these. I don't mind paying a little extra for those, and we did enjoy what was offered- but I just wish we had been told at check in.

Beautiful boutique hotel in the arts and theater district, close to restaurants, shops, and cafes. Hotel has beautiful antique artwork and furnishings. Room was clean and comfortable. Staff Rocky and Eli were friendly and accommodating.
