By far the worst experience I've ever had at a Ritz Carlton. The hotel was subpar. The only good things was the ocean views and the food at Cosa Nonna. But overall, It was an unfortunate and very disappointing trip in terms of service. It was an agreed upon consensus that this didn't feel like a Ritz Carlton. While we had a great time with our friends, we also held an event there; and as the planner the Management team and staff were horrible and caused me numerous problems. I even had a meeting with the hotel manager and he did not do anything to make up for the mishaps nor seemed to care. Our sales rep lied about various things and the banquet manager was not professional. I also was injured by a spa staff member. Not recommended at all!

This hotel is a must visit- it has a splendid beach, fantastic service and very friendly staff. Davaine. will take care of your luggage and Whitfield & Osaro your drinks. Truly beautiful with everything you could desire. Take the Lady Grace Sunset Cruise with Captain Tim and Big Cheese, it's a Ritz boat & it's a spectacular experience.

Upon arrival to hotel, we checked in with the hotel staff and everything looked great at that point. However, as we got to the hotel room and checked out the property, we felt very disappointed. This is not our first stay at the Ritz Hotel and we are frequent travelers. The hotel itself doesn’t feel luxurious at all. In fact, there were no tropical views or plants/flowers. It felt very basic and standard. As we were approaching the beach, I couldn’t help but notice the grass views on my way to the beach. It felt like I was on a deserted beach and the grounds were not very nice. The beach staff lacked any sort of sense of service. Upon saying thank you to them, we barely got any response back. When asked if they provided floaters which I have seen many of the Ritz hotels provide on the Caribbean islands, we were told those were left by the hotel guests and they are not provided by hotel. That we could purchase them at the lobby and then they would pump them up for us. There were so many other things that didn’t make sense and the staff kept telling us things that were not true. The staff appeared to be lazy and not willing to do anything for the guests. The towels provided on the beach were old and had ripped off parts on them. The rooms didn’t have anything in the Frige and there were no snacks or drink available in the room for purchase. My husband had to go down to the lobby bar to get a soda. Overall the Ritz didn’t stand up to the expectations and our prior experiences. Management was lacking. They were nowhere to be seen. This hotel can certainly use some help.

The hotel is beautiful and the service was great. Turks is gorgeous and the beach was amazing. The hotel was kosher-friendly and the staff was very knowledgeable and understanding in making sure our food was prepared properly CHEF STANWICK WAS AMAZING. He met with us daily ensuring our dietary needs were taken care of. When our flight was delayed by over 8 hours at the airport chef Stanwick personally sent meals for all the families that needed kosher food to make sure we had food. Ritz carlton goes above and beyond to make sure their guests are taken care of.

Generally I would say the Ritz is not as great as they let on. Here's a few of my observations and this was my 14th time to the turks and the first time I stayed at the Ritz. I had an ocean facing room which was just ok. The view was nice.. the cabinetry is substandard and was marred up from abuse. The bathroom door was always in the way of the toilet door and the table in the room takes up a lot of space that could be better designed. Upon arrival... the team was very nice. I rented a car and the valet was prompt and did a good job during my week there. The rates don't include breakfast like many other resorts and if you like something to eat in the morning.. there is value in considering staying somewhere else since breakfast is expensive like all the other food. The beach and pool service were all great including the outdoor bar. The sushi bar on the other hand was not so great. My experience sitting adjacent to the bar was sub-standard and I didn't appreciate it. Moreover..the space can be quite uncomfortable if it's hot with not much breeze,.. even in the evening. Food generally at the resort is ok but not over the top. There are better restaurants on the island including Grace's Cottage and Coco Bistro. If you want to try some local food make the trip to Omars. The lobster is to die for. The adult pool was really warm to the point it wasn't refreshing... The ocean was far better for taking a swim and cooling off. Overall I would give the Ritz a 3 out of 5. I think the Seven Stars and The Palm are better and better value. Nicer rooms in my opinion. I probably won't stay at the Ritz again. I think it will be interesting how well the Ritz will do with more high-end resorts being built like the St Regis. Ritz better up their game and invest in some improvements or they won't do well in the long run. Too bad they cut some corners when building the resort including the grounds which are not all that beautiful. Tim from Atlanta
