Hyatt Regency Grand Reserve Puerto Rico

Loved the Ocean front room! It was right on the beach with an amazing view. The hotel was clean and the staff was helpful. The location was excellent for getting out and around to explore the island. We rented a car and many told us that they read driving was bad - we did not have that experience. It was very easy to drive from the airport and to the places we wanted to go. We were glad we rented a car even though there was an additional parking fee. Well worth it if you want to venture out! 30 minutes from the airport, a few minutes from the rain forest. Loved our stay at this hotel and can't wait to go back!

Beautiful property, staff is outstanding at every level and the food/drinks are excellent. Choice of pool or ocean as it has it's own beach. Free activities daily for kids and adults. We had a free Salsa lesson to ourselves! Rooms were very clean and great design. Bed was super comfortable. Every one has it's own balcony/patio. Rooms are in easy to access 2 story buildings. It does rain - for maybe 10 minutes a day when we were there at the end of March, beginning of April and they were thoughtful enough to provide an umbrella in the room. They will also come an pick you up anywhere on the property and take you anywhere you want to go with a simple phone call or request to a close by staff member and we did not ever wait for longer than 5 minutes for them to come, so be ready when you call. If you are going to Puerto Rico, I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Just back from a 4 night stay. The night before our last day, we asked for a late checkout. We were told to call the morning of to see if they could accommodate. So, we did, and were told, “yes…for a fee of $25/hour.” I’ve travelled many places, and this was a first. Either you can or cannot…never, “yes, but for a fee.” Hyatt, was this really necessary? Leaves a bad taste for sure.

We had such a great experience with the staff! The front desk was helpful and accommodating and requests were handled in a timely manner. A few exceptional staff members stood out- Luis at the hotel pool was fantastic. He helped us out twice, both by the pool and by the beach and both times he was incredibly kind and friendly. He would always come by and say “ hello, family!” With a big smile and just was a pleasure to meet. Raymond and Brian at the lobby bar just completely made our last night! They were so friendly, so helpful when we needed to get a quick food order in before closing and shared so many cool/ interesting facts about Puerto Rico. They really helped make our last night there special. The beds were comfy, the amenities were great, spa was a bit small but had excellent services. Would definitely visit again.

Kids Club was amazing, especially Nanette Rodriguez!! She entertained the kids all day and was so kind and compassionate to my kids!! The pool here is the largest pool I’ve ever seen with these beds in the water to lounge on. Plus the beach is so beautiful and not crowded at all. Beautiful sunsets!!
