Fantastic. Next level service
This was our 3rd trip to Viceroy playa. We absolutely love this resort. Very small resort. Each couple has your own thatch roof cabana and private pool. The food is next level. Service is impeccable. If I had to guess I bet the staff to guest ratio is about 3/1. Everyone on site knows your name and room number. The best part is spending the day laying on the beach in a bed that is serviced by staff to bring you whatever your heart desires. Pepe is the absolute best. He is a server that goes above and beyond. You have never had the service like he provides. He is always so happy and helpful. Thank you Pepe!! We will see you again next year.

Peace and relaxation
We have visited our Jungle Home at least once a year for the past 12 years. We absolutely love everything about Viceroy Riviera Maya. It is the perfect spot to relax, rewind and chill. Have never had a less than stellar experience. Cannot recommend highly enough if you are looking to totally unplug

Nice time at the viceroy resort
Nice time at Viceroy. Small resort but nice. Went on a private cenote tour with Danil. Was super cool. He was great!!!!! Resort clean. Jungle like. Spa nice. Staff were great. If there was one fault the pool area needed a hot tub. And in room plunge pools could be heated as well. But we had a nice stay. Food was excellent. Oh and beach is nice to look at but not swimmable really. Great spot for chill vaca.

The essence of chill with a touch of island vibes.
Stayed in a spacious beach from cabana steps off the white sand. This resort has very few rooms, so if you're looking for quiet, relaxed, and upscale, this is your place. Close to Playa Del Carmen but out of the chaos it gives chill island vibes vs the massive all inclusive. They only allow children over 12, so much more of an adult experience than the screaming family one. Staff were super attentive and the allocated butler attends to your every request through WhatsApp. I'm going to be back.

Save your money
To call this hotel 5 star ruins the star ratings. From the time we checked in we had a miserable experience, when we tried to leave they charged us an extra night. At 3k per night, they should bend over backwards, instead they sent us on our way without so much as a meeting with the manager. Breakfast took an hour to get eggs, that they made wrong three times or it came out cold. It took us 30 min to check in at 9pm and we were the only guests. The ceiling fan didn’t work, the AC turned on, by themselves and we woke up to 16C in our room, even though the AC was set to 20. We typically don’t review, we have traveled all over the world. I am trying to save others my awful experience. The wait staff was nice at dinner, but we were the only ones in the restaurant. Save your money
