With an enviable location on the central, fashionable Via del Corso, the Grand Hotel Plaza is one of the most prestigious hotels in Rome. The Plaza has been a hotel since 1837 and since you walk through is doors you will be immersed in elegance and grandeur the minute you walk in. The rooms and suites are very spacious, styled with high Victorian ceilings, large marble bathrooms, period furniture and oriental rugs. Many guests can also enjoy a great view over the garden. The hotel is throwing in complimentary airport transfers and a free cocktail on arrival.

We held a two-day academic workshop at Grand Hotel Plaza and our guests were blown away by the hotel's grandeur, excellent food, and attentive service. The hotel staff were very accommodating to all our requests and delivered an exceptional experience for our attendees.

I would like to start by saying that we LOVED staying in this hotel. The decor is marvelous. The location is unexcelled. Previous negative reviews clearly do not appreciate the antique decor, which we loved. The personnel at the front desk was consistently friendly and welcoming, even after we checked out. We had a fifth floor suite with a view of the plaza. The room was ENORMOUS, which makes sense for the price. The bathroom was also very big (more about this later), with a double sink, a bidet (which I LOVE and is disappearing in many European hotel rooms), and a great porcelain bathtub, which I used three times. There were numerous amenities in the bathroom as well, in addition to a great hair dryer and robes and slippers for both of us. It was very luxurious. So the things that I am about to say are only suggestions, not criticisms. I think that for over 900 euros per night, that we should have had a magnifying mirror (this is STANDARD in almost every hotel we have stayed in - and we travel A LOT). We should have been given free water EVERY DAY instead of only twice during a four night stay. (The tap water in Rome is not amazing). And most of all, although the bathroom SEEMED luxurious, the shower stall was the cheapest possible plastic stall that you could get at the HOME DEPOT (or its Italian equivalent) for about 100 USD. We expected something more. In addition, all the amenities should have been replaced every day (reminder that we paid over 900 euros a NIGHT). 4 Q-tips/cotton swabs were hardly enough for a 4 night stay for 2 people. I KNOW that the management response will be "you only had to ask for more" My point is that for 900+ euros a NIGHT there should not be a question of ASKING FOR MORE. Over all it was a very nice hotel room, with some room for upgrades. Thank you for a lovely stay. Please consider these suggestions.

Gorgeus building, the stay it's great for couples! the main hall and the staircase are wonderfull, it's also nice to see the set of movies like john wick or gangs of new york. I suggest to look up which films were shot here if you are a film buff. It's was a beautifull experience.

Amazing hotel with beautiful interior and also historical place in every aspects. The lobby is very grand and will amazed you. Service is top notch from start to finish. We stayed at the top floor suite room, the view was excellent. Can see the Vatican City from our balcony. This hotel was also used for major film such as Ocean 12 and John Wick 2 (it was the set for the Hotel Continental Roma in the movie)
