On a gentle bluff that gives it the look of an anchored yacht's prow and bridge, the Hôtel Barrière Le Carl Gustaf is made up of 21 rooms, suites and bungalows spread across a colonial-chic property overlooking the buzzing city. With a menu by Pierre Gagnaire, the Le Fouquet's Brasserie comes to the Caribbean and revisits the classics, featuring local spices and flavors with an uninterrupted panoramic view of the port of Gustavia. Our elegant Caribbean house with Riviera accents welcomes you from breakfast to dinner for special moments full of flavor, to share with friends and family.

We stayed here for our honeymoon and it was perfect. Very luxurious, awesome views of Gustavia and a short walk to dinners every night. Having a valet on-site so we didn't have to worry about parking our car after exploring the island all day was a great benefit as well. Highly recommend!

This hotel is just fantastic. We had a fantastic suite overlooking the Harbor. Service was attentive, the room had all amenities you could hope for, our pool was in the smaller size but quite refreshing the Beefbar restaurant was great. I highly recommend and will be back

We originally booked this hotel for its unique location just above Gustavia. Stunningly beautiful views of the harbor, plus the ability to easily walk to the beach and lots of great restaurants make this location unbeatable! The hotel provides airport transfers, so you don’t need to rent a car. We just rented a Moke for one day of exploring, but otherwise walked everywhere - so nice! Our 2BD suite was spacious and comfortable, and the large private patio was awesome. But it’s the world class service from the concierge team that we will most remember. Every request for a reservation or an inquiry for assistance was responded to promptly and to the highest standards. Plus they were truly over the top nice people! The only suggestion we have is to request a room high on the property because the lower rooms have road traffic noise. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and can’t wait to return!

Just returned from a beautiful stay at Le Carl Gustaf in Saint Barths. This hotel is the perfect location with great staff. From the time of arrival Remi was a great welcome party to the property and Clemence was an absolute joy to work with. Chleo, Romain, Alistair and Lucas, were all just wonderful contributors to our beautiful stay. The rooms here are like honeymoon bungalow, I was thrilled with the bed mattress it slept like a dream, just the right amount of firmness and not to soft. Every morning we would enjoy breakfast over looking the beautiful view of the harbor. We also had the best massages at Spa Diane, we had to go back for a return visit to the spa the very next day! The ladies here really know how to make you relax. I would definitely stay at the Le Carl again!!

Just finished a 4 night say at this gorgeous boutique hotel and was very impressed. The view is the best in Gustavia! The rooms are beautifully done, spacious, and recently remodeled with the most state of the art amenities. The plunge pool on the deck is a treat —relaxing in the water while watching Gustavia harbor was pure bliss. The location is unmatched. Walkable to most major restaurants and shops, and steps away from the most charming shell beach. Their partnership with Shellona guarantees you a complementary beach chair, a wonderful way to spend the day for beach goers. The concierge and front desk team was amazing — catering to all our last minute requests and working with us to build our itinerary. Really appreciate their recommendations and insights. The spa team was phenomenal, and the cleaning crew was always on point, our room was impeccable clean and refreshed twice daily. A few things to note that would have made the stay perfect. My room ( #100) though lovely inside, was a bit too close to the road. Noisy cars coming by at night did disturb our sleep. This seems to be the closest room to the road, so I would ask for a room higher-up next time. The AC in the room was a bit weak. Not the end of the world, but something to tweak for us AC loving Americans. Lastly, the service at breakfast was a bit sub-par. Bring back the beautiful tiered breakfasts advertised on your instagram. The breakfast staff was a bit slow to execute orders and the buffet seemed a bit average. Having to get up to get your own juice and water at this caliber hotel just seemed less than desirable. Over-all it was a wonderful stay. Highly suggested and I cannot wait to come back to this lovely hotel soon. Thank you for the lovely stay.
